Goudelock

He is a really nice compliment to KB and the Lakers. Outside of KB, Drew, and Gasol he is the only laker that can create his own shot. They shouldve kept him in at the end of the game, Lou was blowin past Fish like he wasn’t even there.

 He can become a dangerous weapon and compliment the Lakers player(kobe,Bynum and Gasol)

 I still can’t believe Darius Morris is getting almost no time each game while Goudelock plays 12 to 18. Morris can’t shoot as well, but he can slash beside Kobe.

That’s becasue Morris isn’t very good. He doesn’t space the floor and he dribbles too much.

Goudelock is better.

Yeah since Steve Blake went down, and Darius Morris proved he was really ready to be a rotation player yet in the league, Coach Brown then plugged Goudelock in there at that point guard spot off the bench. While no one will ever confuze him for a traditional point man, he is what this team needed. A confident and capable range shooter, who can also get to certain spots and get that lil floater/runner off. He’s basically been a more dynamic Fisher. Kobe even called him the "mini-mamba" fwiw.

Andtli232, Morris hasn’t been all that great in the games I’ve seen him player. He’s still a bit rough around the edges with his handle and just overall game and I didn’t see any high level breakdown ability from him in college so its no shocker he hasn’t done so thus far in the league. Needs a bit more seasoning, could (should?) be a solid reserve down the road.

 Goudelock is getting lit up by Lin on Friday night. You heard it here first. 

i hope we get the chance to see goudelock get lit up by lin and every other  gaurd in the league a lot more. Im tired of seeing fish get lit up by every single pg. Fish is hooting 37% from the filed and 27% from three this year and he is actually turning down open shots from time time to time.

Goudelock’s defense on the ball is solid. I don’t think he defends players who move without the ball, through screens, etc very well.

So I think he should do a solid job on Lin.

I liked Goudelock a lot as a prospect. Not only did he have ridiculous range, and solid shot-creating ability, he had the confidence necessary to translate those skills.

I knew he’d make the most of any opportunities he’d get in LA.

 Yeah, I’m assuming that Fisher is blown up by the end of the first quarter and they shift to Goudelock. But I suspect he will not be able to guard Lin either. 

 It’s not that Morris isn’t any good. He simply isn’t ready. As for Glock, the kid simply knows what he is supposed to do and does it. he doesn’t try to go outside of his abilities and do too much like Farmar and Vujacic did. His on-ball D is a lot better than expected, but he definitely needs to work on off-ball D and fighting through screens. I said it in another thread, but he’s actually a terrific fit beside of KGB because he doesn’t need the ball that often and can play off of them while they go to work. While a more natural PG would fit better, it’s unrealistic that said traditional PG would be able to play the position AND shoot so Glock is the next best thing. Kind of like Boobie Gibson with LBJ and Big Z. 

Glock would have been a dream for Phil Jackson and his triangle. HE would have been a terrific replacement to Derek Fisher and could have actually been a difference maker in the playoffs last year as his deep ball would have allowed KGB more more to go one on one instead of having The Mavs collapsing every play down the court.

These next few games will give the Knicks the chance to see how over-rated their major acquisitions have been.
