I think maybe its starting to become a new trend to stay 2 years in college before going to the NBA.I think thats great because it keeps the star players in the NCAA to make college basketball more interesting and the players develop more while staying. They really need to stay because highschool ball is so much different then College …Basically every highschool star can go off for 40 any night but in College they of them have to play great to just get half of that.

***Additional notes Drummond would be making a good decision to stay because right there are just some terrible teams and bad positions (Bobcats,Hornets,Pistons ,Wizards) I would at least wait till one of these teams gets another top 5 draft pick to get drafted to those teams

If you are drafted in the first 5 picks in a draft the team you are being selected by will be bad unless the pick was traded without provisions.

Staying two years might develop some guys. Would Kyrie Irving have been better served staying years at Duke? In training camp, Bryron Scott, said in reference to pre amnestied Baron Davis, "you know who the best mentor for Kyrie is, your looking at him". The college game hinders the development of some guys and I think Drummond may be an example. He will develop further skills no doubt but he will do that in the League too. Colleges play so much zone he will never develop a post game (who is going to play him straight up). The League is a lot of isolation and 2 man play and college doesnt offer that. College big men ussually just catch inside passes and dunk facing the rim. The exception this year is Sullinger (who often gets to legitmately post guys up) and Patrick Young. All UCONN is going to see is zone. It’s early and UCONN is going to get Boatwright back they may win this whole thing.

Hard to say its a new trend yet, the lockout affected alot of freshmans choices last year. We’ll see how many actually stay this year.
