derekmorris21Participantin the weak free agent class of 09, who do you think each team should pick up, lots of solid players to pick from(gordon, odom, barnes, marion) but no stars, lots of glue guys that could help the team push them into playoffs for next year.
i think the raps should try to kepp marion because they were much better with an athletic wing, but also could look at barnes or arize to pick up..
what should other teams do in the offseason with free agents?

BradfomsParticipantAs a Raptors fan I really hope they resign Marion, I mean, once they got him and figured out how to all play together, they were actually a good team, I think they won 9 of their last 12 games…and they wern’t beating basement teams either, they were beating good teams…so re-sign Marion and draft a SG

NYKnicksuperFanParticipantthe lakers should try to resign Odom but if he has a good postseason and wins a ring he’s gonna want to leave for more money, gordon could be a knick, knowing that they always overpay for players who only shoot and play no defense, or he might end up in OKC since they have lots of cap space and need a shooting guard, then they can pick a center with their lotto pick

derekmorris21Participantwhat about the bigs in the free agent class such as rasheed, bass, and chris anderson…who will take these guys?
and i also hope the raps resign marion, but i see it highly unlikely, so if not him who would you like to see them sign

southdragons09ParticipantThere is one man teams need to have a look at
His name is Donta Smith
drafted a whilst pack (second round), played 2 years with atlanta and a handful of games with charlotte
recently played in Australia for South Dragons (look up on youtube)
won Finals MVP (and a ring) and stats were impressive
I was at almost everyone of his game and came off the bench and was a force.
His overall fitness is a lot better than it was when playing in the nba and teams looking for a SF should have a look at him
also
Joe Ingles (SF/SG) (same team as Smith) and Tremmell Darden (SF/SG) (same team) are in the US currently. Tremmell is 6’6 but capable of averaging more than a block a game and he can jump like dwight (beat a 7’0 in a tipoff). Joe is entering the 09 Draft and can hit very long 3’s and play impressive defence. Probably only weight is a big issue. Those are three guys i think nba teams need to have a look at.
