jdubsram-13ParticipantI heard that Kevin Garnett is being recruited by UCLA. They said that since he had not gone to college and straight to the NBA that he is still NCAA eligible. Is there any truth to this? Has anyone else heard about it? Just imagine how guys like KG, LeBron, J’Oneal, Kobe, Dwight Howard, and others who could go back maybe at the end of their careers and play college ball, while getting a degree. Will many of the big time schools want these guys at the end of their careers?

D7H7NParticipantI’m sure there’s an age limit and/or would violate some NCAA clause

If this is some sort of inside joke, my bad. But come on. everyone knows those things make you loose your eligibility!!!! There is no way this thread is serious

jdubsram-13ParticipantIt is not an inside joke, I seriously saw it on a website (all are not always true) and thought it was interesting. Thanks jaredpaul89 for the honesty.

osirisboy9Participantthe second you step on a court and get paid to do it you lose your eligability, you cant even be a globetrotter then go back to school. their is no chance in hell this could ever happen

Evan_MilbergParticipantThe whole “KG going to UCLA” thing was just an advertising campaign run by Adidas during which different players supported different teams in the NCAA tournament, and KG’s pick was UCLA, hence the commercial:

There were others ads, too, including Dwight Howard for Kansas, T-Mac for Louisville, and Josh Smith for Pitt. They were all just choosing a team to win the tournament for the sake of the advertisement, and Adidas was creative enough to make jerseys to match their ad campaign.

jdubsram-13ParticipantI was unaware of the ads for March Madness and just heard it somewhere and was just wondering if anyone else heard about it. I would agree that it was a very creative ad, having the players who jumped straight to the NBA having chosen a college to play for and they are in the tournament, for the sake of March Madness.
Also, was just wondering if Jackson White of Grayslake, IL had either read this post or heard it too because I heard you talking about it in Accounting.
