Since the knicks dont have the assest i think the Hornets would like i include the Clippers in the trade also. Knicks get CP3, Clippers get Billups a stop gap point that can help teach Bledsoe how to run a team or a very good place holder until they find the right one, also Ariza a upgrade at the 3 spot how can shoot the three and defend with the best of them. Also they are still postioning thereself to land a Dwight Howard and or a Dwill next year. Hornets get a couple of 1st rounders and a good mix of talent and cap flexibility with only acquiring players with 1 or 2 yrs left on their deals.

I like this trade better
Knicks get- Chris Paul
Warriors get- Emeka Okafor and Landry Fields
Hornets get- Monta Ellis, Chauncey Billups, Toney Douglas, Ekpe Udoh, Knicks 1st, Warriors 2nd, 3mil cash and a Trade-Player Exception
Why New York- They get their guy
Why Golden State- they get better defensively Okafor and Lee compliment eachother well, Curry, Fields, Thompson and Wright all compliment eachother well, Mark Jackson would love this squad
Why New Orleans- They get Monta and some expiring deals, Ellis is from Mississippi so he’d be close to home, Billups-Ellis-Ariza-Udoh-Gray is probably as good as it can get for them, they also have the TPE to grab a player along with 3mil and a 1st
At this point its take it or leave it

rickybobbyParticipantI dont think the Warriors would give up Ellis just for Okafor and Fields. No way that happens!

fredrock34Participantno way the warriors trade ellis and Udoh with all that potential for fields and Okafor. And in the first trade new Orleans gets a whole bunch of role players for chris paul, they make that trade and they will be rebuilding of the next 10 years

Detroit unloads Gordon and Villy. Get Billups who might be able to have a great year and Fields a young promising player. Knicks get Villy who can probably earn his contract in NY and Paul. NO gets Turiaf who can give them some hustle minutes. Ben Gordon with a fresh start and Douglas a young promising PG.

NYK2010ParticipantI don’t think the Knicks can trade a 1st becaz they sent 2 in the Mello trade and the 2012 is going to the Rockets in the Hill trade. Knicks should really just sign him in free agency no need to give up anything for him now. Already gave up way too much in the Mello deal esp. Mozgov.
A 3 or 4 team deal maybe the only way to get him anyway. Still if they give up Fields with their lack of 1st rounders will be hard to fill the SG, Center and bench. I’ll be interested to see if they can trade for Paul and the rumors will be coming hard all the time.

NYK2010ParticipantThat trade with the Pistons isn’t bad but not sure New Orleans wants to pay Ben Gordon.
New Orleans should’ve never traded Collison they’ll be losing a lot of fans w/out Paul.
