esperanzafleet69ParticipantRecently i came across a forum post on another site explaining about findlay prep highschool in las vegas. the post basically stated that findlay prep wasnt really even an accredited high school(just speculation im guessing, idk if it is or isnt), but just a basketball team funded by UNLV’s boosters and alumni.
after a little more research theschool essentially is in a house just outside las vegas and is comprised of the basketball team, with classes taught by some unlv professors.. it is also to be noted that 100% of graduates have gone on to play division 1 basketball in the ncaa.
the question lies not within findlay prep but within the entire prep school scene. Does this kind of education really help these students in every way possible? how many NBA basketball players come from these type of schools and how sucessful are they now? what kind of loopholes allow this to happen? how many kids are treated basically like stars, even before college? how much money does this place make just from basketball?
if anybody has knowledge on these questions , please let me know…. i really want to learn more about this.

PrecociousNeophyteParticipantmikeyv made this post a couple of months ago and it shedded the light on the Findlay Prep team. I don’t think it answers all of your questions, but it is pretty good.
