For now, at least. Kaleb Tarczewski committed to the Arizona Wildcats over the Kansas Jayhawks, loading up a class already stacked at big. Seeing that Arizona was already considered the team to beat as far as depth and talent in this years recruiting war, this was another major grab. Tarczewski is a legit 7 footer with solid athleticism and a good body. While he may not dominate right out of the gates, he has a lot of upside. Throw in Brandon Ashley, who I think is somewhat reminiscent of Derrick Williams, big man Grant Jerrett and talented combo guard Gabe York, Zona looks like the school to beat to claim #1 recruiting class. The only player I get a one and done feeling about of their current recruits is Ashley, so they could be a major contender in 2014, even with a couple modest pick-ups in the 2013 class. Nonetheless, Zona is quickly coming back with a vengeance to the class of the Pac-12, though they barely ever left.

My question is, which prospective recruiting haul do you like more?

Arizona: Brandon Ashley, Kaleb Tarczewski, Grant Jerrett and Gabe York

    or

Kentucky: Archie Goodwin and Willie Cauley plus (Hypothetically, as they have yet to sign with anyone) Shabazz Muhammad and Anthony Bennett

    or

UCLA: Kyle Anderson and Jordan Adams plus (Hypothetically, as they have yet to sign with anyone) Shabazz Muhammad and Shaq Goodwin

Which class do you think would be considered the best? I think that while Arizona’s class might be better than any of these in the long run, for the short term, I think Kentucky would more than likely come out winners. Still a lot of time left, but, for now, Arizona definitely is the team to beat, while UCLA and Kentucky are left hoping things fall into place. Sean Miller has done an incredible job taking over for Lute Olson, fantastic hire by Arizona. They should be decent this coming year, but I think that Zona fans are probably salivating even more about the future.

If Shabazz goes with UCLA it’s UCLA no question. Shabazz and Kyle Anderson would be disturbingly good.

before this and I see no reason to drop them. If they can add Gary Harris then there will be no doubt.

The best would be Mitch Mcgary (#2), Shabazz Muhammad (#1), Tony Parker (#31), and Rasheed Sulaimon (#12) at Duke. No class could match up with the talent at every position that this class could potentially bring. Sulaimon has already commited, McGary is deciding between Duke, Michigan, and Florida on Thursday, Parker seems to be a Duke lean after his recent visit, and Muhammad has a top 3 of UCLA, Duke, and Kentucky. This class is definitely possible.

Why if you post anything positive about Duke do you get negative points? People just need to realize they are a dominant program with high character and not read stuff with an extremely biased opinion.

Is because you are dreaming about that recruiting class. I know that McGary has interest in Duke, but I am pretty sure he chooses Michigan. Parker is a guy I could see going to Duke, though I know that he also likes Ohio State. The biggest thing is, Shabazz Muhammad does not look like he is going to Duke. I know he likes them, but I just get a major feeling that he chooses between Kentucky, UCLA or even staying home at UNLV. It is not that people hate Duke, but they have only landed one of the 4, and two of the four look incredibly unlikely. If Duke gets this recruiting class, great for you, but I am thinking it is not happening.
