Can you promise once you have done this, that you will hopefully stop using the internet? Or at least this site? You have offered so incredibly little, even your basketball posts are fairly obnoxious (though luckily, not posted on the main board, which is maybe the only reason I didn’t neg it). So, hoping you will abide by this (though having a sneaking suspicion you won’t), here are my votes:

tli232: He posts way less than you do, which I appreciate

Kanyedabest: Honestly, I find him less obnoxious than kobyz. I really do not have a problem with him as much as he seems to with me, albeit his posts lately have been incredibly poorly thought out and I still would appreciate him maybe trying to make amends with the posters he offended.

Scarecrow: He is a guy who I used to think was slightly crazy, but now, I consider him my friend who is slightly crazy :). All in all, this guy is a bro and he has a lot to offer and talk about. In what world Jlv2011 would be considered a bro, I do not know. Yes Jlv, you dislike LeBron James and love Jimmer Fredette. You posting about it constantly tells us nothing.

FLYNTFLOSSYBABY: As much as Flynt can be distinctly annoying, he got to a point where he almost provided something. If he were to not stray from this point, he could be a decent poster. McBasketball Guru is truly in his own world, and I feel like no one on here wants to look further into it than that. He does just about every poser thing one can do on this board (the "Mc" thing, posting a girl with nice cleavage), and his posts are genuinely awful.

All in all, while he is an effective troll for the most part, I think the four people I did not vote for are people I do not care about seeing on this site and provide incredibly little value. My ultimate goal would be utter indifference to their posts, unless they actually start trying to use their brains to make content. ProudGrandpa, I actually find you the least annoying, but still just genuinely question why you feel a need to make some of the posts you do. I guess you find yourself funny, but I just find you, well, boring.

If you could maybe, well, NOT be ProudGrandpa, as I think in no way that is who you actually are, than I would gladly change my opinion about you as a possible successful poster on this board. I know that may be asking a lot, but I have never really understood people doing things just to get a reaction. My reaction tends to turn to indifference, but I always hope I can maybe convince a person that what they are doing as a troll is idiotic. Does not work often, but I like to try and see the good in people, so it will probably not stop me from trying.

But this is pointless, cause IT’S A POPULARITY CONTEST! If we were doing somthing on the quality of posts, than underated guys like I may be Based, MDymes, Scotto, Rudeboy, Joe Wolf, and others would be among the finalists, this is so predictable, I would get more points on this bracket than I will on my next three March Madness brackets combined. And we just had the awards, I don’t think we need more hollow glorification.

As mentioned above, the timing for this was especially questionable. This was a good idea with poor execution. Maybe try again in a few months?

mikeyv, you should lay off ProudGrandpa. He may be a bit of a troll, but he it’s not like he’s hurting anything. I firmly believe that it takes all kinds of posters to make a good forum. Even if it means involving people you don’t really understand.

Obnoxious or no, keep posting PG. Decide for yourself if the nature of some of those posts should be changed or not.
