The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantLegends Showcase is more DLC than we were hoping for.
There’s no doubt that NBA 2K12 is an amazing game, but there were a few features we wish were in there, like the ability to play one on one with Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Oh, wait, 2K is putting that in, plus a whole lot more? Well… damn.
2K announced today the upcoming DLC for NBA 2K12, Legends Showcase, a new mode that lets you take the greatest players the NBA has to offer and pit them against each other 1 on 1… or 2 on 2… or 3 on 3. And all with a cel-shaded, stylized coat of paint.
Want to see the greatest players of today match up with yesteryear’s legends? Of course you do. It was awesome to do it on a team scale, but now you’ve got a high def, super realistic version of Jordan vs Bird. Oh, and you can bring your My Player character in there too (finally!).
In terms of DLC, Legends Showcase sounds absurdly robust. Developer Visual Concepts worked on the mode in conjunction with developing the full game. So what else can you do in the mode?
Pickup games include things like H-O-R-S-E, which features trick shots and all new animations. Or hop into a game of 21 that can be played with multiple configurations, both fullcourt and halfcourt.
There are also progression based modes like the Teammate Challenge. Pick a pair, like say MJ and Pippen, and compete in a 2 on 2 tournament against other classic pairs like Shaq and Penny, or Malone and Stockton.
And a 3 on 3 Era challenge. Pick a three person team from any decade, and compete against the greatest players of the other decades. Can the ’60s players compete with the ’90s giants?
To top everything off, there’s a new online mode that lets you play as classic teams, so expect everyone to start dominating with the ’95 Bulls.
Legends Showcase comes out later this year for $10/800 Microsoft points.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantwe saw this lock out coming, it may end in a few weeks and we simply start our season late with a shortened sprint to the finish line…The DLC thing is a little bit frustrating although it’s only 10$ or 800 MSP for features that make it feel like you just brought a new game…Legends Mode 1 on 1 is like Jordan vs Bird, 2 on 2 in like NBA JAM, 3 on 3 NBA street…then the altered graphics, bonus players and teams (hopefully…we need Sir Charles/Shawn Bradley/Grant Hill pre injuries/Reggie Miller’s Pacers/Allen Iverson’s 76ers squad that made the Finals vs The Lakers/T’Wolves teams with Marbury/KG and the one with Wally Z, sam Cassel and Spreeeeeeee…also the Knicks team with Camby/Houston/Spreeeee…so yes they do need alot of players and we should have to too much for them…I’d tack on another 20 bucks for all this…
1.Sir Charles and his 76ers and Suns Teams(include Thunder Dan and KJ, potentially young Nash???)
2.Allen Iverson and his 76ers Final’s Team
3.Reggie Miller and Pacers squad with Smits/Davis Boys/Jalen Rose and Marc Jackson
4.Grant Hill preinjury and his Pistons
5.Latrel Sprewell and his Knicks squad with Camby/Houston/LJ/Charles Oakley and Pat Ewing
6.Young KG and his T’Wolves Teams with Marbury and then the Cassel/Sprewell and Wally Z lineup…
7.Bucks Big 3 with Ray Allen, Big Dog Glen Robinson and the best version of I Am Sam Cassell
8.Young Vince Carter and TMac on The Raptors(this is a Must)…
9.Portland Jailblazers(Damon,Van Exel,Anderson,Bonzi,Scottie,Sheed,Sabonis,Zac Randolph and Jermaine O’neal) another Must…technical fouls…
10.Nets Final’s Team with Kidd,Kittles,Jefferson and Kenyon Martin(a young K Mart is another must)
11.Tall players to dunk on…Example Shawn Bradley and George Muresan…maybe even Fredric Weiis…
12. We need The Dream Team and Redeem Team…also other International Olympic Teams(Brazil,Argentina and Spain to name a few)
12. We need the BUSTS…please put in a young Kwame Brown and Micheal Olawakandi…others that need to be included can be found on the sites archives…
13.Lastly we need to recreate our own Team destinies in legendary draft’s, we only need 1 season to be playable to see how some things could have been…the perfect what if coming to life…

thanks to the DLC concept now you buy a product which is unfinished and have no real evolution !!!
and instead of apologizing for that situation, they make you (I stop that year… so fed up with…) pay another time for the work they should have already done (and had been paid for)…
That’s unreal.

OhCanada-ParticipantYou guys must be dead broke to complain about 10 bucks…come on. I mean sure it is nice to manage your money in a wise manor, but who cares…Half the people on this website get paid at least $10 an hour, and the other half can easily go ask their parents for 10 bucks. So the real effort is either an hour of work or a minute of talkin to mommy or daddy. Dont complain about the game, then buy the game, and spend 500 hours a year playing it lol.

haha you are right about that…but i also see why this would kinda piss people off who are already a little let down with the 2k12 updates, etc.
