mikeyvthedonParticipantFrom UConn Midnight Madness. Featuring Jeremy Lamb, Alex Oriakhi, Roscoe Smith, Andre Drummond and Ryan Boatright. UConn is looking very athletic. Shabazz Napier with the nice assist from the chair to Boatright for the winning dunk.

NJHooper95ParticipantI cant believe Drummond just finished playing ball against High Schoolers. The guy is huge and extremely athletic. Uconn looks like a deeper and more talented team than last years squad. People better watch out, they have some rangy guy from 6’5 to 6’9 that can play on the perimeter as well as inside. Boatright is electric, he could be the heir-apparent to Kemba Walker, we will wait and see.

PaulsJayhawksParticipantUconn is going to be very good this year! I hope my Raps can land him in the draft even though we do have 3 PF’s already!

Born ReadyParticipantI believe that "rangy guy" is small forward Deandra Daniels. Any word if she was amoung the uconn players on the side line?

McDunkinI just hope if Roscoe will defend his NCAA title as well as he did his ESPN "Not Top 10" title.

mikeyvthedonParticipantNJHooper95 meant to use the plural, "rangy guys", 6’5 to 6’9. Still, I know that Daniels is shown as being on the roster and my guess is that he was at the event. I do not know if he has been cleared by the NCAA, but I guess no news is good news in that accord. Andre being there was obviously awesome as well, as they had that ridiculous rumor about his eligibility being in question due to some video he did "sponsoring" Adidas. I am not hating on Adidas (I actually think that new Derrick Rose commercial is sick, plus those shoes look really nice), I am just making a comment of how ridiculous the NCAA is about almost anything these guys do. UConn is a Nike school, and while I am sure that Adidas has a legit chance of landing Drummond when he more than likely turns pro this year, I do not think he was doing some illegal ad campaign for them.
By the way, for those who have not seen the news item posted, Ben McLemore and Jamari Traylor have both been declared ineligible to play for Kansas this year. They were determined to be "partial qualifiers" (whatever that means), so they will not be able to play this season and cannot practice until fall semester. McLemore left Oak Hill and finished his prep career at Christian Life Center in Texas. Traylor played last season at IMG Academy in Florida. It seems both players will still stay at Kansas, unlike the similar situation that happened to Braeden Anderson last month where he was denied financial aid as well (I believe). While none of the freshman were likely to make an enormous impact this season (besides possibly McLemore), this puts a big chip in Kansas’ depth this year.
Also, Roscoe was money from that spot all week in practice, McMicroscope.

providencefriars1ParticipantI have never been more confused watching a basketball game than when Roscoe Smith took that shot. I remember looking up and seeing the shot and was like wait what the hell is going on?

uknationParticipantUCONN will be tough to handle. It’s gonna take awhile for Drummond to get used to the physical play of big east ball just like all top freshman bigs do. at least this year no one is going over board saying he’s gonna dominate like someone does every year (last year it was Fab Melo)

McDunkin@providencefriars1
What always seems forgotten is that game is in a play or 2 prior Jordan Hamilton damn near airballed what looked like the "jumpman" dunk on a fastbreak.

NJHooper95ParticipantNCAA is cracking down hard on the academics of the athletes now. I think alot of these kids suffer by switiching schools and going to all of these basketball factories masquerading as prep schools (St. Anthonys excluded).
