Who should the Jazz take

 I would take Perry Jones and Myck Kabongo, if there both around 10-15 range like this site says, but obviously it depends where there picking. 

 I dont think you can judge yet since IMO there is a very good chance there gonna make a trade to shake up the line up because Millsap and Jefferson probably wont both be there after the deadline

I’d say either Terrance Jones and Brad Beal. With the first pick you’re getting an athletic 3/combo-forward player who would be great off the bench to compliment Favors and Mislap at the 3. With the second pick you are getting a future starting point guard and maybe even all-star to compliment Burks and Hayward. Will look something like this…

pg — Devin Harris, Beal, Watson

sg — Burks/Hayward, Bell

sf — Kirelenko, Jones, Miles

pf — Mislap, Favors, Evans

c — Jefferson, Okur/Katner

It is likely the Jazz will only have the GS pick , as their own pick will go to Minn.

With the GS pick I think they should take the best  point guard available.

I agree that Jefferson or Milsap will or should be traded but time will tell.

Future lineup of Kanter, Favors, Miles, Hayward & Harris , top bench players would be Burk, Milsap or Jefferson, Watson, Evans, Okur, Bell.  I love to see AK back but not sure it will happen.

Drummond,Jeremy Lamb or Teague will fill holes…

But the fans in utah would love to see Mitch McGary play there..But i think he’s ineligible…

Are you sure Minny gets their pick? I can’t find that anywhere.

Regardless, Kabongo or Marshell seem like great choices as both are pass first PGs, and this team potentially has some good fire power in Burks, Kanter and Hayward and Favors’ potential be great in the pick and roll could be ,so a scoring PG like Teague isn’t really ideal.

With the other pick they should look to add depth to compliment the great young core of Hayward/Favors/Kanter/Burks they have quietly put together in one year. A wing player who can spot up shoot (to compliment Burks drive and dish ability) and defend either wing position (to compliment Haywards less then stellar defense) I think would be ideal. Jeff Taylor I think would fit this role great as he’s an excellent defender and showed great improvment on his shooting last year. I would think he would probably start since Hayward and Burks are both best with the ball in their hands, and trying to stagger their minutes would be a good idea. Gilchrist would be great as well, but I can see him going around 7-10, and I don’t know if either pick will be that high. I guess that would depend if they trade some of their vets and let the young guys play. Jefferson to Indiana? Millsap to Portland? I just hope they free up some minutes with Kanter and Favors and let those guys develop together because that could be a nasty tandem in a few years.

The Jazz has a nice if largely unproven young core in Favours, Hayward, Kanter and Burks, if you look to add to this then a young PG to learn alongside/behind Harris would be logical. Also in Harris, Millsap and Jefferson you have 3 guys who are in their mid to late 20’s so the younger core can play around them.

The pick Utah send to the T-Wolves is far more protected than that they receive from GSW via NJ as part of the D-Will trade. If Utah ended up with say 9th pick from GSW and lets say 14th for their own then that could be a possible top 5 trade up. I know teams would not realistically pass on Barnes, Drummond, Davis but two lottery picks in next year’s draft would get them very high up the draft or at worse they can grab two nice pieces or maybe even package their own pick with say Jefferson to get a good package back. If one pick is within the top 10 then they should be in line to get a shot at one of Teague, Beal or Rivers etc or if they decide to go elsewhere with the possible GSW pick then Marshall. Kabongo and Turner could be possibles with their own pick.

The jazz pick is lottery protected, so they will pick it up if they dont make the playoffs, which is highly unlikely with this young of a team. Also Golden States pick is i beleive top 7 protected, so they could very well score both of these in this draft if Golden State doesnt tank the season. The jazz pretty much have every position filled for the future except at the point, although you can pretty much bank on at least 1-2 of the young kids Burks,Kanter,Favor and Hayward not panning out. I personally think they will go with Harrison Barnes if they end up in the top 3, although i think Barnes might be the type of player who will stay in school until his senior year, with his mom being a school teacher and him valueing his education so much. If they get picks in the 5-14 range you can bank on a PG like Marshall, Kabongo, or Teague.

Also it’s pretty damn insane to think that this team could potentially have 6 lottery picks in the last 3 years drafts, I’m fairly certain this has never happened, and is pretty much an accelerated rebuild at it’s finest.

The T-Wolves have ended up with a load of lottery picks but 6 in 3 years would be pretty unique.

Lets throw a fun scenario in, there is a total lockout and the Jazz somehow end up with top pick and Andre Drummond is the consensus choice or Drummond is in the place where the Jazz will pick in the top , do they take him or not?

 Ya if the jazz won the lottery they would take Drummond and possilbly look to trade Kanter for another top 10 pick.

 I dont know because Harrison Barnes could have a break out season and lead UNC to the championship and start getting Kobe comparisons again(which arent even close)

Take Drummond if he’s still considered a can’t miss prospect. Have a three man rotation up front with Kanter/Drummond/Favors.

 Pretty good idea all 3 of them are easily capable of being a legit center and Kanter and Drummond would be a mismatch at the Pf position

What the Jazz really need is a pure point gaurd, and a shooter shooting gaurd.  I don’t know if this will happen through trade or draft.  Jazz have all the potential with so called pieces, than most teams in the NBA right know.

The Jazz could perhaps find a pure PG via a trade but it might have to be a veteran guy, young PG’s are highly sought after and once in place teams will only tend to trade them in the right circumstances.

The Jazz do have a lot of pieces and if we through in Okur’s expiring contract, decent trade value in Al Jefferson and possible value in Devin Harris then they could keep the young core intact and build on that going forward.

Some veteran leadership might be useful but if Raja Bell is still on the roster then he can provide that to a certain extent.

 Yeah not the draft to get a pure starting PG for the future but you never know …..maybe Teague or Kabongo could have break out years and become top 5 picks you just never know

Or maybe Kendall Marshall could be a good Mid first round pick for them

I’m not so sure the Jazz will be getting two picks. Golden State will likely be really bad next year and collect on their pick if its top 7. The Jazz then would just have their own pick which will be anywhere from 7-10 if I were to guess. And with that you take the best SF on the table (Barnes, Miller, Gilchrist, P. Jones,  T.Jones)
