MJ FOR LIFE 23ParticipantSource: nfl.com
This seems a bit too far fetched but if the lockout were to last the entire season, there is at least one NFL team (Seattle Seahawks) who is willing to let LeBron play in the NFL. Coach Pete Carroll has been sending messages to LeBron via twitter. To top it all off a jersey has been made especially for LeBron. Although there is very little chance of him playing in the NFL, it is still an interesting option for LeBron to take. If MJ did it back then playing baseball, then there’s no reason for him (or maybe there are a lot) to try it especially if the lockout does potentially end the season. There’s always been a heated debate on how LeBron would fare in the NFL, this might be the best opportunity for him to settle it once and for all.

TRC1991Participanthe never will… the chance of him seriously injuring himself and jeopardizing his career in basketball are too great

IndianaBasketballParticipantI could see LeBron doing this. His ego and arrogance are big enough to try to play football and prove to people he’s the best athlete to ever walk the earth.
Seriously… I could see him doing this. I can’t see him as an every down receiver who’ll be going across the middle or anything like that, but I could see him as a redzone/goal line situations. I could see him running the outroutes, etc.

rileymcshea3ParticipantYeah LeBron would be a awesome redzone recievers to do fades and just throw it up to him
BUT what about defense I think he would be a pretty good defensive end being 250 pounds(only 10 pounds less then Damarcus Ware) and fast
Or even safety he would be a scary safety because you cant throw it over him and he would get so much interception and him being 250 pounds he would be able to know the crao out of someone

BasterdInABasketParticipantHe’d be the ultimate red zone jump ball player but Id like to see him on field goals and extra points too jumping over the o and d lines for blocks

IndianaBasketballParticipantLeBron would probably be good at defense since he likes to give punishment, but not take it.
Not joking or trying to be funny, but it’s true. LeBron gets upset when players inflict physicality on him, but he loves dishing it out.

tuck243ParticipantIt’s going increase ticket sales for whatever team he plays for…Not to mention jersey sales… Then you got to realize the ONLY position that he would be able to come in and play is WR… There’s too much of a responsibilty for him to play TE at this point… Just go routes or Megatron thrown balls to LeBron in the end zone… He’s a yoga fanatic I don’t think a tackle here and there will hurt him…

HaleParticipantI think he is just f*ucking with everyone. I wish he would play, because he would be a mismatch nightmare on the outside. But sadly I don’t see it happening.

WinterSoldierParticipantWhere did you see that on nfl.com?
0 - Posted on: Thu, 10/13/2011 - 1:43pm #603655
ghrghrParticipantLebron being so big, strong and fast, there wouldn’t be any defenders capable of stopping him if the played WR. Just toss the ball up and let him make a play, he can reach higher than any nfl defensive player. He has shown over the years that he is pretty durable too, so who knows, I’d definetly watch him play.

kngojcParticipantHow funny would it be if he went to the Browns? Or started playing with Braylon Edwards? hahahaha

PlatParticipantLol he aint gonna do it…but he WOULD be a dangerous red zone receiver, they could also use him for special times to try to block punts and field goals.

aamir543ParticipantI know not many people buy this, but he reportedly weighed in at 274 last training camp. BEAST.

JoeJoParticipantHe would never do it but if he wanted to, I think he could be an outstanding WR after a couple of years of development. I’d be skeptical even with all his physical gifts if hadn’t played football before but he was an oustanding WR in a state with very high quality HS football. In his Jr year, which was his last of football, he went over 1200 yards and had 16 TDs.

MuggsyParticipantHe’s too chicken to even enter the dunk contest, much less the NFL. Won’t happen.

Bmore_DCParticipantthis will never happen…if he gets hurt he will lose hundreds of millions of dollars…hes not an idiot and neither is his agent

Jlv2011how is he going to win in a physical game like football? Nevertheless, my hate for him does transfer across professional sports leagues.
