If some of you were wondering whatever happened to the 2010 49th pick, he was injured throughout most of the 2010-2011 season, now he’s back and looks terrific. He’s a legit 7ft, has nice handles, post moves and range. He seems like a terrific offensive bigman, slightly reminds me of a younger Kristic (the comparison prolly sucks, I was never good at comparisons).

Anyway here’s his summer mixtape, IMO pretty impressive for someone his size.

He is signed to play in Switzerland this year.. Yes, the Swiss league. I dont quite understand how this is meant to help him prep for the NBA

It might’ve been that nobody wanted to sign a injured 18yo 7-footer that missed a whole year

What happened to him joining the Austin Toros?

Perhaps, but hes now 20 and its arguable that he hasn’t played against truly competitive team at club level in his life. He struggled badly with Team GB (although I guess besides Freeland they all struggled) at the London Prepares Tournament. I think hes a long way off joining the Spurs, and scoring 20ppg for a year in Switzerland wont do much to bridge the gap.

    I am a semi-hater though.

He reminds me just a little bit of Chris Bosh with a little more handles, more moves with his back to the basket, and more power and athleticism, as well as range on his shot and quickness.

his rights are still owned by the blazers ?….. or did the spurs got them in a trade ?

he was a good young prospects playing in spain but that injury broke the prompises…. maybe a little bit of a robertas javtokas syndrome.
