Its officially Monday and both sides will sit down again and try to save the start of the season. So do you think we start on time/get a deal done tomorrow everyone vote yes or no and what you think the eventual BRI split will be

I say yes as more money will be lost than gained if we miss a season and the BRI split will be 52-48 players-owners

Do you have any info regarding the outcome of Sunday’s meeting? Haven’t seen any details of any progress (or lack thereof). Safe to assume they are keeping their mouths shut and just meeting again to try and sort this out.

I say they’ll save the start of the season, and the BRI split will be 51-49 in favour of the players. It’s not a whole lot of money, and it gives the players recognition of doing the most to make the money.

There are some Rules that really need changing in the league…But Unlike the NFL where the Teams are the face of the league..The NBA is much different, its their stars like Lebron,Kobe,Melo,Wade,Nash,Blake Griffin and D Rose ,that people come to see..The public is alot more forgiving if they dont have a face to put the blame on..The average price for a non-premimum seat is $48 ..At 41 home games that comes comes to $1968 a season..And close to $5000 or $6000 more for a family..And in this Economy, some fans might get turned off after seeing months of Bickering between multi-millioniare players & owners and decide to stay home..

The Lockout could also affect the 2012 Olympics, becuz any player that wants to participate must pay his own Insurance…

I’ve said earlier they cant afford to not play this season..I Guarantee you that if there’s no season..There will be at least 2 franchises Fold in 2 years becuz of this Lockout…The nba has already reported that 22 of its teams are Unprofitable and the league lost 300 milion dollars last year…

I can’t see the season starting on time when they haven’t agreed on anything yet. It’ll take a miracle for them to get a deal done today.

Who cares, if it starts on time they’ll be rusty anway. Season should start December …50 50 split. Don’t rush it, get the business right. I’m hoping we get to see Kobe in Italy anyway

Don’t worry… LeBron will get us through the first 3 hours and then D. Wade will do the closing in the 4th!

There was mention on one of the blogs that some hardline owners will want the first couple of weeks of the season to be lost so the players whose contracts start on 1st November will miss a paycheck and then they would do a deal and get say a 70 game regular season.

I’d hope a deal will be done very soon but I can see a few games going by the wayside on the regular season given the time constraints, FA market, contracts, training camps, rosters to be filled.

With NO Training Camp,NO Pre-Season games and Starting the season late..This will Benefit the Miami Heat more than any other team….

The shorter the season then the tighter the roster that any team can run, so Miami would benefit from that and teams also with most of their roster in place will also be at an advantage I’d guess.
