WizardofOzParticipant^^ I’d say under. From the reports I’m hearing from the media, I think it’s most likely they cancel the season. 🙁

PrecociousNeophyteParticipantI really hope they do not miss any games. If they do miss games and end up playing half the number of games or whatever the number is it will feel like to me that it’s not even a real season. It will feel like they are just playing random games. The champion won’t feel like they really won anything becasue they didn’t do it over a full season.

Wavy BagelsParticipantJust as I was getting into a 2-year rhythm of watching basketball, a lockout has to occur. >.<

aamir543ParticipantWell, in that case does anyone know of any obscure foreign league that gets consistant and high quality online streaming. And yes, I am serious.

DurantsWingspanI don’t know, but I have a feeling we’re not going to have a season at all. Isn’t J.R. Smith, Wilson Chandler, and Kenyon Martin, all from the Nuggets, going to play in China? And if you play in China you have to sign a one-year deal and can’t come back even if the lockout ended. I don’t know, but to me that just seems a little strange. Seems like they don’t think there will be a season.

omphalosParticipantOr that it’d be a convenient way/reason to escape Denver. Smith needs to up his FA value, and playing in China as the focal point is a start, Chandler would be fighting for minutes at the 2/3/4 with incoming rookies and doesn’t seem committed to the team long-term, and K-Mart realises Denver isn’t a contender anymore, so he might as well get paid and hopefully join a contender as a FA after the Chinese season ends.
While we’re on the topic, I think these departures will do the Nuggets good; it means more game time for Gallinari, and Jordan Hamilton/Kenneth Faried will see the court on a regular basis. This is especially beneficial for Hamilton, who was a steal with the 26th pick, and has serious potential to lock down the SF spot for Denver for the future. Oh, and with K-Mart, and likely Nene gone, Mozgov will get more PT to develop, and help the Nuggets really get the most out of their Knicks acquisitions (barring Chandler of course).
Future lineup of Lawson, Afflalo, Hamilton, Gallinari and Mozgov looks like it could compete with a couple of years maturing under Karl.
