I don’t have a link, but it’s all over the place.  Syracuse and Pitt are officially ACC teams, and other Big East teams like UConn and Rutgers are also trying to get in too…

I heard UConn is going to make a hard push to get into the ACC. It seems as if the ACC is trying to make a Basketball Super Conference. In that case…who else should join Kentucky? Kansas?

Haha where do you want Kansas to go? It’s either ACC, Big 10, or lol like the A10 or something. Kansas is being left for dead in the Big 12.

I’m glad these teams are joining the ACC. Just makes the conference better all-around.

Wow, i dont like it…its gonna make other conferences, especially the Big East 5x weaker, its no fun if one conference dominates…

Or the Big East would probably dissolve, especially if teams like Notre Dame, UCONN, Rutgers, and Louisville also leave. The remaining teams would probably just be dispersed in other conferences.

lol a super conference just gobbling up every other conferences but as MagikKnick said "it’s no fun if one conference dominates" though it would be fun watching them come conference games it would be unfair for other conferences to not have a powerhouse team representing them.

Yea this is a HUGE blow to the Big East…I know it seems like its a basketball related move, but i really dont think it is. Cuse and Pitt sensed something going down with these supposed "super-conferences" and ACC will be one of those. Pitt has a great football program, and Syracuse is def up-and-coming. Football will make these schools a lot more money than basketball will and now the ACC has Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, UNC, V-Tech, and now Pittsburgh. Those are some of the best football programs in the country, making the ACC one of the best football conferences, and thats going to make all of the ACC a lot of money…

But yes, basketball-wise its also insane.

Duke, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Maryland, UNC, Wake Forest, Syracuse, and Pitt…assuming UCONN joins, this will be the best basketball conference BY FAR…

It will be interesting to see what happens to schools like Seton Hall, DePaul, and Marquette…

Teams like my hometown Cincinnati Bearcats need to get something in order fast… because those teams leaving puts them in an irrelevent black hole in both basketball and football in terms of who is left in the conference. It’s like them being in CUSA all over again. Damnit, I hope something shakes up so they aren’t left out. All this realignment is nucking futs.

College Sports are in for major shakeup here.  Assuming Texas and OU decide to join the Pac-12 (and take TT and OKST with them), that will leave the remaining teams in the Big 12 and Big East scrambling to find a place amongst what will be the 4 super conferences (PAC, SEC, B1G, ACC).  The sad thing is that football and the desire for a playoff/money is behind these moves and basketball is essentially an afterthought.  The result is a storied, top-tier basketball program like Kansas being left out in the cold as it is in a very awkward situation  (mediocre at football and attached at the hip to K-state).

It will be interesting to see what the landscape looks like when the dust settles but I have a feeling there will be a number of basketball schools really suffering from these changes.
