B-ball fanParticipantMaybe it is just me, but I think that those players get plenty of love from the members of this forum at least. Yeah, none of them are stars, but guys like Thaddeus Young, Bill Walker, Donte Greene and Jeff Teague seem pretty well liked and I think every time somebody on this forum asks everyone who their favorite scrub is, at least one person says Lou Williams. A lot of those guys are career back-ups or mediocre players who are much more discussed than other players with similar roles.

WizardofOzParticipantGRRR! I get so tired of people on this thread sometimes. Just because you don’t like someone somoone else likes, doesn’t mean your opinion is superior to others. At least I back up my statements, unlike most people that disagree with me.

WizardofOzParticipantI was responding to your post since you brought the topic up, but my post is mostly directed at the people that just randomly give me negatives whenever I bring up something about Blatche. It’s okay if you don’t like him. I’m not forcing you to like him, but at least respond when I post something about him instead of hiding behind the computer screen and giving me random negatives just because you don’t like the guy.

Kind’ve where I’m getting at. "Everyone" loves the Superstar guys & that’s all everyone talks about 9/10…..A lot of people on the forum tend to think I only like Superstar guys, because that’s what majority of topic of discussions are about, but believe it or not I like these guys just AS MUCH.

M-DYMESParticipantO I actually read what you wrote memphis…
Feel free to post your guys that you like that you may not think anyone else likes
That must be why I think this thread doesn’t make much sense. Do you mean…
Name players that you feel are underappreciated and that you like as much as the highly regarded superstars in the league.

stifler101ParticipantAll of my favorite current NBA players are on this following list; I believe that hard work is the most important thing in basketball every time, and that doesn’t seem to be the norm nowadays…
-Kobe Bryant – hate him or love him, he’s worked harder than anyone in the NBA to become as great as he is
-J.J. Redick – really admire the fact that he’s trascended his college success to become an excellent role player, instead of being a waste (aka Adam Morrison)
-Shane Battier – the consummate professional. best role player in the game, plays great defense, excellent shooter, good leader, can fit into any team. every team should want a guy like this
-Andre Iguodala – other than trade rumors, he gets no love. I love all-around players that do whatever the team needs. Iggy is that guy: whether he’s been asked to score, facilitate, defend, or whatever he’s done and done it well
-Derrick Fisher – everyone everywhere seems to hate this guy, but he’s another professional player and person who may be aging away from his prime, but is still a key ingredient to the Lakers as long as he’s still in the league
-Jason Kidd – nobody gives this guy enough credit. not only was he the best point guard of the last decade (sorry, wayyy better than Nash), but when his athleticism declined w/age he didn’t retire, he completely changed his game to become a key component of a championship team
-Jonas Jerebko – my hometown Pistons get some love here (if they re-sign him); very hard worker that once again overachieves beyond his ability
-LaMarcus Aldridge – should’ve been an All-Star last year…enough said
-Taj Gibson – a player without a ton of physical gifts, but uses what he has better than most…he will (if he hasn’t already) make the Bulls sorry they signed Carlos Boozer for all that money
-Marcin Gortat – arguably the most underrated player in the game, this guy is a top 5 center and hasn’t even been a starter yet…to be continued
-Blake Griffin – kept him on the list because he’s one of my favorite players…but everybody already likes him lol
–
P.S. I have an inkling that Kenneth Faried will make this list very soon for me

WizardofOzParticipantI don’t like Donte Greene. His talent level is overrated. He got fat last year and couldn’t shoot or stay in front of anybody, and he never could rebound or dribble.

iguapops420ParticipantWow, the moment I read this my first thought was Vujacic(I actually have his jersey), honestly expecting negatives, and sure enough someone else is a fan. He’s just so passionate and fearless. I loved the Rage against the Machine. Outside of Kobe, I think Sasha had more love for the game than ANYONE on the past few Laker teams. Really sucked when I saw he was traded. It was a pretty bittersweet moment for me as I knew he’d have a LOT more chances in NJ, but also that I’d no longer get to have anbymore comic relief with LAL.
@Wiz Don’t feel bad, I’m actually a Blatche fan too. He’s a bit selfish and inconsistent, but there is no denying his skill level. When he’s on, he’s a pretty fun player to watch.

Daequan Cook

dmo21ParticipantPops Mensa-Bonsu- not really in the league anymore but was a hustling big man off the bench and provided instant energy when with the Raptors.
Carlos Delfino- he can kinda do everything. he can be a shooter, slasher, or a supplier. Very good skill set and can have very good nights.
Julian Wright- watched a lot of him this year with the Raptors and man should this guy be better. Big guy who is in very good shape and has amazing work ethic. I think Ed Davis said in an interview that Julian was the guy he looked up to on the team, now thats pretty good praise for a guy that sees limited minutes on the court. He does all the little things like defending tight, getting those loose rebounds, and can throw in some sick dimes.

Josh smith- Alot of people dont like him because they say he isnt offensive minded put him at Sf and let him post I beg to differ.
Brian Cardinal – Makes life hell for players.
Sam young
Demarre Carrol as you all see I love Fowards.
My Gaurds-
Quincy douby-I think hes still a good scorer just lacks everything else like size and NBA pg skill and speed.
Since you didn’t say active players.A player that should be playing in the nba that was drafted and I like is Petteri Koponen has great pg skills and aggression but never gave a chance.

orangeshadow83ParticipantJonny Flynn he had a promising rookie year and last yeare he was never 100% hes gonna be a quality starting pg in the league not an allstar with so many good pgs but talented enough to start on most teams and he will only get better with his work ethic
I also agree with demarcus cousins damn if he gets his head on straight he will be a dominant player

B-ball fanParticipantLuke Babbitt – I still have hope that he can develop into a good NBA player
Delonte West – I think he is a very solid NBA back-up who is a bit underrated. Plus, he is fun to watch.
Anthony Randolph – Yes, expectations towards him were overblown early in his career, but I think the backlash towards those too-high expectations has left him a little underrated. He still is very talented and could develop into an excellent pf if he works on his game, and especially his decision making, which is not guaranteed.
Andres Nocioni – He brings toughness and shooting, and deserves to play over Jodie Meeks
