Andre Drummond Destination

I would like to see him play in Gerogetown, but I think it will electto play for the University of Connecticut

Reason: He lives in Connecticut, has all his family and friendsthere as they have to leave the High School a year earlier, prefer to stay close to home

He listed his "schools" as Connecticut, Kentucky, Louisville, Georgetown and West Virginia. Still, I completely agree with "Bill Walton’s Knees" (Another way of saying lame, I guess. Like, "Bill Walton’s Knees username is Bill Walton’s Knees!") about what is going to happen with Drummond. I had no idea of where he was prepping, but I think playing with Kris Dunn would have been a pretty obvious choice for him. Hence, his playing at Willbraham & Monson.

However, to those who still believe Drummond is somehow going to college for the 2012-13 season, well, I am not with you. Yes, he did just list off schools, and apparently claimed "He has not made up his mind yet" about entering the draft. But, if I were a betting man, I would say Andre never steps foot on a college campus. He has apparently gotten the credits to be considered a HS grad, and while I do not know why he is choosing prep school over college, I think he finishes his one year "post grad" requirement and hops on to the NBA. He will be 19 before the start of the NBA season, and I think he will be the odds on favorite for the first pick in the draft.

Odds are that he would have made a big impact to any college he went to this year, and any team that drafts him will expect it to pay off down the road. Still, Andre has ability, size and athleticism that cannot be taught. He has a lot to work on and a few question marks people have placed on him, but he definitely has a chance to be incredibly dominant, I think more so than anyone in this upcoming draft. If you could draft a potential anchor down low, it is incredibly difficult to do so. I think he is a special player, and I see good reason as to him being ranked atop the current mock draft, and it has NOTHING to do with the eventual CBA.

 I just got a boner thinking about him with WVU. As a West Virginia native, a player like this is EXACTLY what we need to push us past being just another school who can put out some NBA role players and actually get NBA studs. I’d absolutely love to get that National Championship.

 West Virginia already has Aaric Murray, an intriguing NBA prospect at the C spot in his own right, set to play for WVU in 2012 after transferring from LaSalle. You guys could use someone like Drummond because anyone could, but he’s not seriously going to consider going there.
