Penny For Your Thought #4

The question today, is going to be about the case for James McAdoo at the #2 pick, by Aran’s prediction of course he is high on him to choose him over established star college players(very blod Aran, very Bold)… I came up with this because, yesterday I was watching the jordan brand classic and everytime I saw McAdoo I thought of Arans prediction but anyways lets look at some of his attributes

Pros

• Expolsive athlete
• Has exceptional post move for height’
• Nba body
• Great courting running ability with/without ball
• Hustler
• Nice BBIQ
• Strong defender

Cons

• True position is PF (tweener)
• Needs more effective handle to play perimeter
• Lack Ht’ for post player

My Conparison: Bulked up Shawn Marion(better shot)

Right now, the Pros are overshadowing what he lacks in his game but, time will tell and we’ll see more flaws in his game at NC…

Okay, compared to the other prospects in the 2012 draft he’s looking like one of the saftest picks, it wont help that he’s coming off the bench but still I thinks he’s is going to be getting starter tick of the bench… He’s the type of player that plays a role to fit in team concept which is also, going to hurt him when top 2 picks look for standout superstar player… when compared to other players he looks like the better prospect(besides Barnes) to me because of the risk factor and what he brings to a team… So, before you decide if he can be the #2 pick compare him to the other prospects at the draft postion (Ceveland&Bobcats are the mostly likely spots for the #2 pick)IMO. I’am truly not sold on he’s going to #2 but he makes a strong case and I want to see what you think about the situation…

Questions

1.  If he doesnt fall #2 which is his likely spot?
2.  Is he top 5 talent?
3.  What makes him not qualifie?                    
4.  What other prospect gets it and why?/ What does the other prospect bring that McAdoo doesn’t?   

His talent is undeinable and rare, I can see why Aran has him pegged that high. With that being said I think its not impossible for him not to land that high.
