One of the most skilled big men to come along in quite some time, has a huge frame with terrific hands, and hasn’t even played his senior year of bball.  Yes, he easily looks like a number 1 pick.

Specimens like his, with his type of skills doesn’t come along every 10 or so years. Lock to be a #1 pick. And keep in mind that his body is still in the process of evolving, who knows what his body will look like by the time he’s 22 years old. Enormous potential, and seems to have his head straight which will only increase his chances of reaching his full potential.

 Being a Center he is automatically going to get a boost in terms of draft stock because there are a short supply of them in the league that are good.Also,Drummond is in a class of his own in terms of how athletic he is , and due to this he is going to be considered for number 1.In my opinion if he goes in the 2012 NBA draft he isn’t going to be num.1.However if he stays in 2013 NBA draft he is a lock for num.1 but if i were him i would keep my eyes very weary of Shabazz Muhammed

Drummond looks very good athletically. He seems closer to Amare at this point than a full sized center. Though he may still be growing. Hopefully we’ll get a better idea this season.

I think he’ll be the 1 or 2 pick. But I’m certainly not going to count out Anthony Davis.

One thing I will point out that he needs to work on, is using his size to his advantage on offense.  I have noticed that he tends to be a little too "finese", while it is very nice to see a player his size with such skill, I do think he needs to use his size down low and bang a little more.  If he does this, he would basically become unstoppable, he already is very difficult to contain, but if he learns to use his size/bulk to his advantage, then your looking at the next dominant Center in the NBA.

Kevin Durnt had similarly questionable fire in highschool. Guy come in freshman year at Texas absolutely dominating and hasn’t yet let up 4 seasons in to the NBA.

Give Drummond 2 more years and you’ll understand why exactly he deserves to be the #1 overall pick. I’d certainly take him over ANY other highschool/college player in the country. Anthony Davis and Shabbaz Muhommed incuded.
