Poor Isaiah Austin. Ouch. Also, this is what Dave Telep just wrote on his twitter:
"Andre Drummond game-winning turnaround jump shot over Taczewski. second game winner of his life."
Sounds like he has had a nice start to the Adidas Super 64, and CBC (his AAU team) won both of their games I believe. Shabazz Muhammad seems to be killing it in Vegas as well with the hometown Dream Vision. Nonetheless, both of these guys seem to be separating themselves from the rest of the pack as far as being the stars of the 2012 recruiting class. Not the first one to make this revelation, but these guys show big time potential to be major game changers down the line. That pic of Andre dunking on Austin is just filthy, though.

aamir543ParticipantMy god this guy is good. I hope he goes to college this year so there won’t be any controversey about entering the 2012 draft. Can someone post the stats of his and Austin’s. I would really like to see how they faired against each other overall.
Poor Isaiah, just got posterized! This makes Chris Dudley feel good about himself again.

This guy said that Drummond dominated the match-up, predicts stats of 20-10-4-3 (estimates)
The tournament does not seem to keep box scores, a la Nike EYBL. A lot of teams in this one though, must be difficult to correspond with all of those things on-line. Nonetheless, if you want to take a crack and hope they start posting box scores, here is the tourney website:

mikeyvthedonParticipantI believe that might be the ball. I know everyone is looking the other way, but it looks convincing. Either way, it shows the result of Drummond’s match-ups versus Austin this spring/summer.

paradigmnParticipantDrummond scored 21 points in both games he played…..each against a high rated center in Isaiah Austin and Kaleb Tarczewski….I don’t know how many Austin got but Taleb scored 16 against Drummond…Shabazz scored 39 against the Celtics led by Jordan Price 38 points….one other interesting stat…Jordan Bell had a 17 block game

mikeyvthedonParticipantWhere did you get the stats from paradigmn? Was Jordan Bell playing U-16 or 17? I know that the Ducks are really high on Jordan’s list, he is a recruit I would love to get. I believe Drummond might be playing Cameron Ridley tomorrow as well, that pool was stacked at Center. I think Drummond’s bracket had 4 of the top 6 Center’s on Scout.com (including himself). Kaleb seemed to do alright, but I thought it was kind of cool hearing that Drummond hit the game winner in his grill. Shabazz of course is killing it, but Jordan Price is a great scorer as well. I know Shaq Johnson has ridiculous hops and all, but I think Jordan Price is the recruit Auburn coaches are probably most excited about.

McDunkinThis is the Andre Drummond i want to see all the time not just "when he tries" as the home age article put it.
my Center rankings for 2012
1.Drummond
2.McGary(he will not be a 4)
3.Coleman
4.Tarczewski

mikeyvthedonParticipantI honestly think that will be where he ends up. I mean, the guy does have skills, he is just SO slight and much to perimeter oriented for my liking, at least as a post. He seems to be a pretty solid shot blocker, and his low post defense gets commendation, but I just think he gets murdered by stronger players. Would you rank Cameron Ridley 5th? I have liked Ridley since seeing him at Nations last year, he has a huge frame and a soft touch. I hear he has only been playing the game for a few years, and he may not be a one and done, but he will be a big impact guy for Rick Barnes.
Are you talking about Ian’s most recent article though? I know Andre did not have a tremendous Pangos Camp, but it seems as if his level of play has been really high this summer. These are not settings that big men always dominate, but from what I have seen and heard, Andre is really coming into his own and has been a major force. I know his "motor" is talked about often, but I think it is more of a development thing than anything else. We will see, but I feel that the more he develops as a player, the less his effort level will be questioned. I honestly do not know what the hell a motor is really, I guess it is effort level, but I am not a big fan of the term. These guys play a lot of games, and I think particularly for the big guys, it is hard to maintain your conditioning level. I find that the comparisons of the "motors" of Perry Jones and Andre Drummond seems fairly unfair. They were different players, and I feel that Andre is showing that he can indeed be a major force at this level right now rather than being one for the future, which is what was always said about Perry.
