ckelley015ParticipantOk, I know this is a completely speculative thread (oh well, it happens with a lockout), however with all the high school camps happening all over the country and internet breakdowns at each site; who would your pick be in an all-year highschool-only draft ? Who would you dub the next great player from the high school ranks?
Shabazz, Drummond, Randle, Parker, Wiggins, Bennett, Noel, Austin? Not limited to these players whatsoever, but I appreciate all answers.

aamir543ParticipantDrummond, there is such a shortage ofbig men these days, its almost default that we should choose Drummond, but still I wouldn’t blame someone for taking Shabaz, cause the last dominant big to win a tittle was Shaq, but you notice how Shaq didn’t start winning tittles until Kobe stated scoring 30 a game, and when Wade cam into his own.
So as important as big men are, you need a really good perimeter player around them. Hakeem was the last to do it without one was Hakeem, and that was only the first tittle, for the second one, he had Clyde the Glide when he was still averaging 21 per game. Other than that, Mc Hale and Parish had Larry, Wilt had the logo, and Bill Russel had Cousy, and when he retired, he had Havlicek.

highflyer0ParticipantShabazz Muhammad and then i think Jabari Parker. Parker could end up being the best out of all of them, but we will see.

ForTheWinParticipantI’ll go international with this one- Nenad Miljenovic- KK Partizan- 1993- 6’4” 185 lbs.
Fast and Strong. Amazing scorer and has the ability to do anything on the court.

aamir543ParticipantLast sememster as a Freshman I took a Modern Wotld course. Basically, a lot of the civil wars in Africa are because the US started it. I can’t remember any off my head, but the US and Ussr had a bunch of proxy wars, meaning they funded other third world countries to fight agaianst each other, and the US would try to spread Capitalism and Demoicracy, while the Ussr(Now Russia) would fund companies to become communists. But in this particular instance, I don’t think it will go that far, hopefully, but it is still sad to see people suffering, expecially like this.

ForTheWinParticipantIn fact, there is reason to believe that there was US interest in the war in Yugoslavia. They preach it as a war between different nationalist groups in the former yugoslavia(mainly blamed serbians) when in fact the US now has some of its largest military bases in the former yugo(Albania), its sad but people(americans) can’t seem to realize that there country is the biggest terrorist union in the world. I mean they bombed civilians in Serbia for 78 days and now there bombing Gaddafi whose made Libya relevant in his power and now instead of helping a great man and leader there bombing his country to smitherens because there too scared to fight like men on the ground.

aamir543ParticipantWell, that was terible, but the way I percieved that particular instance was that the US actually saved lives in the long run. Think about it, had the US not done that, all of that chaos would have gone on longer than 70 days, so…… But I absolutly get your point, in general, the US sparks a lot of cicil conflicts in foreign coutries to fulfill its tiny duties.
About Ghadafi, I believe he was harming his cilvilians, so I can’t say anything on that one.
It was nice talking to somone with knowlege and knows how to discuss these fragile topics, but let’s keep on track about Basketball.
About that post a month ago, when you said Darko was better than Bynum………….OH, you are Serbian, never mind, If there was an Indian player I would definitly be biased toward him. Ok it all good.

ForTheWinParticipantWell yeah lets get back to baketball. I retract that Darko is better than Bynum, but look there both very similar, Huge bodies, Great d/Shot blocking, often injured/not performing to ability, and overshadowed by teammates. I can definately see people’s frustration with Darko, but I can’t see why people are so hard on the t-wolves. There a young team and have all the building blocks for a great future. Don’t see any reason for ruling them out of success.

river09Participanti don’t understand what people see in milicic anymore… yes he may be a solid defensive center… but he gets in ridiculous foul trouble all the time and (while he may pass effectively on the offensive end) he isn’t active enough to be anything more than a liability on the offensive end… his rebounding effort is unacceptable for a 7 footer as well…

A reason K Love had 15 rpg,, was that when Darko was on the court he was taking the best box out. And people still see things in him because – foul trouble and playing time are issues that can all be fixed.

Kinguy11ParticipantI know everyone is saying this, but Drummond again. I’m so orignal. Austin Rivers aswell, continuing on with my orignality. OK, I was being sarcastic before but I think that no one else as mentioned Michael Gilchrist, with his athletic abilities, if he devolps well in college, he could have a good NBA career.

If I had to pick one guy I would say Johnson because I feel like his potential is crazy high but it always seems that way for young big men with rare size.
