GlenTaylorSucksParticipantI actually hope this happens- I can’t think of a more perfect fit for this kind of team in MN! Sure, Nelson wouldn’t teach these players any defense, and he’d have to get over his hatred for playing inexperienced players/rookies, but this would be a hell of an entertaining team to watch. On a related note, if it actually goes through, I feel bad for Anthony Randolph, since it’d instantly mean he wouldn’t play at all.
On an unrelated note, people need to stop these fake posts. Quit filling up the forums with fake crap! lol

Hi its BenParticipantMe too man but I dont see why Nellie wont play Randolph considering he’d be a good weapon to use because he’s potentially a good mismatch at all 3 frontcourt positions..

Jayhawks2011Participantits because Nelly didnt play Randolph at all in his first couple years. He was in Nellies doghouse almost all season long.

aamir543ParticipantI am Warriors fan, and Nellie HATES Randolph.
Evey time Randolph grabs a rebound and dribbles the length of the court, Nellie absolutly chews him up. And if he makes a mistake, he takes him out. I remember opening night last season, 09-10 season, Nellie made like 10 billion subs. It was crazy.
Nellieball is exciting to watch, don’t get me wrong, but be careful, Kevin Love will lead the league in minutes. Watch out for your young guys, cause Nellie could really tick them off.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantNelson has always been 1 of the nba’s most underrated coaches..He sometimes doesnt have the most talented roster..But he gets the most out of what he has..Alot of borderline nba players that didnt get drafted owe Nelly ,becuz he opened people eyes up to specialize players…But he does get on players and management nerves after a few years….But the 1st couple years he is there the results are imediate and successful….

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantThe list of people who would want to coach in MN/ are available to coach (since most of, if not all, the good ones are already hired) is very small thanks to Kahn for waiting 3 months too long to pull the damn trigger. They should jump on anyone who’s even remotely interested at this point.
Because they want to do a run and gun style, I can’t think of a better candidate than Nelson.

IndianaBasketballParticipantKevin Love, the "franchise" player, doesn’t care about defense and neither does Nelson… Match made in heaven.
Meanwhile in Los Angeles, the Clippers are laughing and grinning.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI would love to see what Sam Cassell has to offer to a team as Its Coach…
And Maybe Nelly invisioned Love,Rubio,Beasley and Derrick Williams playing in his run and gun type of offense and got excited…

GlenTaylorSucksParticipant^^ Indiana. What a great comment. The similiarities between S.C. and Gollum are insane.

mikeyvthedonParticipantHe would work for these guys, I mean, they are not going to win games with defense considering there current roster. Still, if you want to go towards actually contending, it is not a great hire. After the whole Kurt Rambis thing, I have no idea why any established coach would want to go to Minnesota. LOL, they are the Anthony Randolph of NBA teams, lots of potential, little results.

paint intruderParticipantNelson loves "Tweeners" because of their versatility and the ‘Wolves’ roster ist FULL of them: Beasley, Love, Williams, Randolph, Johnson
He’ll probably make this team play exciting and spectacular basketball.
But I think he will ruin a lot of their young careers because he won’t teach them anything about defense.

kevnix5ParticipantI think that Nellie is just getting excited at the idea of coaching Rubio and seeing what he can do in a run and gun offense but that probably isn’t the best thing for most of these guys. They need a coach who wants to be there for the long haul and see this team develop and help build this team around there young stars. However, Kahn is likely to sign Nellie or another coach who only plans to be around a couple years at the most so he can make all the terrible future decisions of the franchise on his own.

HitsterParticipantSam Cassell would be a good choice for the T-Wolves, although he would be a rookie Head Coach, he played at the highest level and was an All Star as recent as 2004. I could see him certainly helping Rubio to develop and he would have a winning mentality and nothing to lose taking on a 17-65 team.
Don Nelson would make the T-Wolves very entertaining and K-Love would put up insane stats but would he have the desire and drive to be a head coach again I wonder?
