    I know its a basketball forum.. but Im guessing you’re all sports fans..

    For those who will be watching.. who do you guys think withh win the All star game this weekend?
    How about the derby? Who will be the MVP?

    I like the American League to win and get home field in the world series.. And for mvp.. Jose Bautista or Adrian Gonzalez..

    What are your thoughts??

    American League, they have a ton of lefties and the park they’re playing in has a short right field

     Usaly some one off the bench wins MVP because he comes in later in the game and gets a better chance to win it for his team so im gonna go with Migual Cabrera being the MVP and AL winning the game

    Hows the format this year? I know its AL v NL but is there going to be an individual champ or just team? I dont know how I would like just it being a team championship but either way I hope Weeks and Prince put on a show!

     I think the home run derby format is sooooooo stupid. What’s the point of even having it now? Just taints all the guys who have won in the past and not b/c of having "teammates"….

    Yeah I think the derby is a team thing now…
    I don’t really like it.. yet I will probably watch it yesterday to hopefully watch Jose hopefully hit some bombs!
    My Jays suck but Bautista is awesome!

    My derby pick is either Bautista or Big Papi.  It’s hard to vote against either one of them guys.  Bautista is just a stud at hitting for power and Papi seems to dominate all the time, so either of them.  If I had to pick an N.L. player it’d be Prince.  These big guys just now how to lsug the ball consistantly. 

    As far as the All-Star game, I think the American League will win.  I expect the MVP to be Adrian Gonzalez.  He is the best 1st baseman in the A.L. and is Top 3 in the entire league.  All the guy does is play good ball. 

    I’m a Cardinals’ fan, so I’ll be cheering on Matt Holliday in the derby and Berkman in the All Star game.  Should be a fun week.

     bautista is a wierd case in term of HR’s

    aside from last yr and this yr 

    he didnt get to many HR’s  from the start of his career to 2009

    It’s weird, he came out of nowhere.

    I read an article in sports illustrated and everyone said he always had the natural bat speed, it was just his timing, and he said he always just wanted to hit home runs when he got to play because he never usualy got a chance to play everyday on a team. He said Vernon Wells helped him a lot with his bat speed, and then he was given the chance to play, and now look what happened, he may just be the best baseball player in the world.
