PrecociousNeophyteParticipantI don’t know if this was posted before, but the Harlem Globetrotters drafted Jacob Tucker. It would be pretty cool to see him play for them.

Illinois College guard and 2011 college slam dunk champion Jacob Tucker was drafted by the Harlem Globetrotters on Tuesday.
Tucker put himself on the national map in March when his dunk highlight video went viral on YouTube. The video now has more than 4.3 million views. He later was voted into the college slam dunk contest in Houston during the Final Four and won it despite being the only Division III player competing.
"It’s definitely an honor because everybody knows who (the Globetrotters) are and I know all the good things they do besides just playing basketball," Tucker said in a statement. "I’ve always wanted to be a part of something like that. I just need to look into the details of it before I agree to anything."
Tucker was one of six players drafted by the Globetrotters. Seven-foot-eight center Paul Sturgess, the tallest player in college basketball history, soccer star Lionel Messi and 12-year-old Jordan McCabe were among the other players drafted.
"The first day of practice, we are going to have Jacob Tucker and Paul Sturgess go one-on-one," Globetrotters director of personnel Sweet Lou Dunbar said in a statement. "A 5-foot-11 dunking machine against a 7-foot-8 tower of shot blocking has YouTube written all over it."
Since winning the national dunk contest, Tucker has been a guest of the St. Louis Cardinals andChicago White Sox to throw out a ceremonial first pitch, spoke at basketball camps and competed in other dunk contests throughout the country.
"It’s been a lot of fun doing all those things," Tucker said. "I’m very busy, but it’s a good busy. It’s been an once-in-a-lifetime experience."

Memphis MadnessParticipantI heard this rumor, glad to see it actually happened. I am really happy for him. He put up solid stats in Illinois College but I am not sure if he could make big money in Europe. Jacob Tucker could be the main attraction for the Globetrotters which is neat. Hopefully Michael Wilson is still on that team, he can really get up.
After he won the dunk title I was thinking that he would join either the Globetrotters or And1. … hopefully his all-around game improves and gets invited to an NBA camp in the next year or two. I would love to see him in the NBA dunk contest.
Hopefully he can take part in some dunk-offs with legends like The Air Up There and even Joe Alexander (who can really dunk).
With the NBA lockout Jacob Tucker might become the most famous non-college American basketball player playing in the States.
