Cardinal_FanParticipantIve always thought highly of him as a player an like his game. I also knew he was obviously the reason why MoMo Jones transferred coming off a pretty damn good season at Arizona. But i just noticed that Turner jumped up to 13 on the latest 2012 mock, from not even being on the last mock. Does any1 know what could have brought this on??? Maybe play at one of the skills camps that some NBA players hold??? I’d really appreciate if sum1 could help me out.

mikeyvthedonParticipantGo to Google and look up "Deron Williams Skills Academy 2011". I was trying to post the link, but it was entering the SPAM filter (because after over 2500 posts, I decided too try and sell DVD’s and hock cr@p on here).
Check the "College Rosters". Turner is in it. I am sure people will be FLIPPING that Tony Wroten Jr. measured at 6’6.5, but remember these are measurements with shoes and are not always the same measurements one would get at the draft combine (especially with wingspan). This draft is pretty weak on PG’s though, and maybe scouts noted that they were impressed with Turner. I think he certainly has a chance too be one of the first PG’s off of the board in 2012.

Chilbert arenasParticipantCrazy that a guy who was not a McDonalds All-American can come in and be a one-and-done. Is that a reflection on a deep class or the flawed selection committee? My guess would be the the latter of the two. But I don’t see it being that weak of a PG just a shallow one. I think the point guards at the top show a lot of promise.

He kind of got kicked off of his HS team, hence the probable reason he was left off of the McDonald’s All-American Roster, as he was considered a lock. I do not think a player getting kicked off his team is a flaw in the system, and there are one and done players who indeed have not made the McDonald’s game. John Wall, for instance, could not participate in the game due too technically being considered a Post Grad. I agree there is a flaw in selection at times, and there were some questionable choices this year. But, I think certain guys get left off for disciplinary reasons, and grades could also play a part.

mwalling2117Participant^ A bit of both
But there is no way Quinn Cook, Quintavious Caldwell-Pope and even my fellow Buckeye Shannon Scott are better than Josiah. And I only counted the guards, there are a few more fowards or Centers who are not as good as Mr. Turner.

Chilbert arenasParticipantI didn’t know he had issues with his high school team. Deandre Jordan was a one-and-done with out being a McDonalds All-American as well.

natedogggParticipantYeh but Deandre Jordan is 6’11. We all know plenty of big men who came out too early.

OhCanada-ParticipantI still think Wroten is the cream of the crop.

Cardinal_FanParticipantHis size and athleticism, mixed with his vision and passing ability has to have NBA scouts salivating. I also heard he measured out at 6’6 in shoes, we all know how much pro scouts love big PG’s.

Chilbert arenasParticipantIs Wroten a PG? I’ve never seen him play so I just figured he was a two-guard after everything I’ve read about him.

ChrispyParticipantWroten is/ will be a PG. He is a willing passer who can really drop some dimes. Tries a little too hard to be flashy with his passes, but that will get better with age and experience. Just youtube him. Plenty of highlights and actual game film.

JNixonParticipantI have questions about how he’ll fit with Abdul Gaddy. Gaddy is a more sound decision maker than Wroten and more of a pure PG, so unless he isn’t ready to play at Washington after his ACL injury or is noticeably less effective, I think Gaddy will be the PG for Washington.

JNixonParticipantA combo guard. I think he’ll play both guard spots in the pros.
