dmo21ParticipantLogjams at positions can really screw up a team and even screw with players’ heads as they don’t get as much time as they should. To fix a logjam you usually trade one of the players at the full position to get a guy that fills a void in another position. Many teams have logjams right now and here are some of them.Cleveland- This team is not very well managed. You actually have logjams at two positions while two other positions are very very weak in quality and quantity of players. At point guard they have Davis, Irving, Sessions, and Gibson. Three of those guys could be starting material. Sessions is going to get the short end of the stick and play limited minutes with the veteran Davis and the #1 pick Irving. Gibson can get time at shooting guard, which will help out his playing time. Sessions hopefully is traded and some team might get him cheap as Cleveland will probably just want to free up some room. Cleveland also has two many quality power forwards. They have the veteran Jamison and two young guys in Hickson and Thompson. Jamison could get traded to a contender but both Hickson and Thompson need time to develop their game. Maybe Thompson can play some center but I haven’t seen much of him. If they do get rid of Jamison and Sessions they would look to get help on the wing as there is almost 0 talent there right now.Detroit- They have their two highest paid players playing the same position, does not sound like a great idea to me. Hamilton and Gordon both can only play the shooting guard position and Detroit cannot give both of them the minutes that they each deserve. Detroit also has Stuckey and Knight who can also play off the ball at the 2 spot. Hamilton would probably be the one that they would like to get rid of but he has a large contract and is older. Maybe a contender would like him to make a push or another team might just do a bad contract for a bad contract trade (like Baron for Mo Williams). If Detroit does get to trade either of them they should look to get a big man out of the deal because all they have down low is pretty much Greg Monroe.Milwaukee- After they made that 3 team trade they now have an abundance of point guards. They have 3 young point guards in Jennings, Udrih, and Livingston. They also have the older veteran in Dooling. It looks like Jennings should be their point guard of the future but there have been trade rumors about him this summer. Udrih is a solid backup/spot starter. Livingston has some potential left but has never been the same since his horrific injury. Dooling is a solid veteran presence that can give you time at both guard positions. With all these guys there are not enough minutes to go around, so I think 1 or maybe 2 have to be traded to free up minutes for the rest. My idea would be to trade Livingston as someone might bite on his potential and keep the other three. Draft picks or a good wing player would be nice in return for them.So what do you all think these teams should do to try to fix there problems or how bad their problems actually are?0 - Posted on: Sat, 07/02/2011 - 8:48am #561744

SwatLakeCityParticipantI remember before the draft seeing both Sessions and Davis’ name on the trade block. Both of them were listed on ESPN’s rumor list as possible trades during the draft. Since it didn’t happen in the draft, I expect it to happen during the off-season. (If the lockout isn’t too long, of course)

aamir543ParticipantMy Warriors, at the guards spot. We have Curry, Ellis, Klay Thompson, Charles Jenkins, and the fan favorite, Jeremy Lin.(no really, the second he gets off the bench to go to the scorers table, the whole arena randomly starts cheering.
