CalipariParticipantUtah could use a solid young PG to round out their core, and Indiana could isn’t completely set at SG, whether George is going to play SF, and whether or not they’ll trade Granger. How about this deal:
CJ Miles for George Hill
Makes sense for both, a piece or two could be thrown in here or there, and both would be improved.
Probably clearer in purpose from the Jazz’ POV, but Indiana could use a solid guy like Miles.

B-ball fanParticipantI don’t think that Indiana would do this trade. They just got Hill, and they probably anticipate him playing some backup pg. Hill is also a versatile defender, and a more valuable player overall than Miles. This would help Utah, but it would hurt the Pacers.

CalipariParticipantI did mention above that the motivation for the trade is much clearer for Utah, but Indiana could also benefit. Miles is a solid 3/2, who could start next to Collison, and has all the potential in the world. Maybe Utah throws in a 2nd rounder or a benchwarmer, but you said it yourself, the Pacers anticipate Hill playing some backup PG. Good trade for both teams if you see George/Miles/Collison as a young, athletic trio going forward. Yes, I left off Granger, because I think they might explore the possibility of trading him, and George is a similar player. It’s much easier to come across a solid backup at PG, then a young, vibrant 2 guard with good size and a disciplined game.
