4hff4f427ParticipantI have to ask something about this game, but it is ONLY for those who play the pc version:
Heres the deal. I’ve been playing this game for about 2 months now. And while I’ve been having a lot of fun playing, I don’t understand the Association mode. Here me out…..
This was my first time playing Association mode for the pc version, and I see that you can manually adjust the player ratings during the mode. Well, for several years, I was playing the NBA 2K series for Playstations 2, and in those versions, you could NOT manually change the player ratings in Association mode(once you started the mode, the only way you could adjust the ratings was by practices and regular development through the season).
Am I missing something here?? I guess I’m a little confused as to what the POINT of Association mode. I thought it was supposed to be a little more challenging. I mean, if it’s gonna be like this, why not just give all my players "99" ratings and just screw practices and development all-together?
NOTE: All I’m looking for is for one person to take this question SERIOUSLY and answer it without giving me any of that "get a life" or "dude, just play it and shut up" bs.
Thank you, I appreciate it.

justincParticipantjust dont cheat, they give you the option to change stuff if you want to, association is just a simulation mode, you really dont beat anything so they let you customize anything you want how you want.

ChrischiParticipantJust because you can use the "every trade works" function and the "edit player" function, doesn’t mean you have to use it.
You’re either a cheater or you’re not. It’s that simple.

Boxuout314ParticipantSome times the game designers have players abilities wrong. oR better yet a player who could not shoot in years past (Derrick Rose) develop a jump shot prior to the season begins. Based on where that player ranks in reality, you will know how to adjust his numbers.

4hff4f427ParticipantAlright thanks guys, I really do appreciate the honest info. It just seemed so strange to me that you could just change the ratings whenever you wanted in association. I see what your saying, it just sounded a little too easy and much easier than what I was use to in the ps2 versions. Oh well, I’ll give it a try again later.
