I understand Valanciunas is a great prospect, but I’m still not sold on the idea of him going to Cleveland. They struggled so mightily last year that I don’t know that they can have this awesome opportunity in the draft and still have the same starting lineup as last year, or even just shake it up a bit with Irving, who won’t play more than 30 minutes regardless. Valanciunas won’t come over for at least a year, and they actually have a decent 4-5 in Hickson Varejao. After starting Manny Harris, Anthony Parker, Christian Eyenga and Alonzo Gee at the wings last year they DIRELY need a swingman, which bring me to…

Why the hell doesn’t anyone have the Cavs taking Vesely? Apparently they’re not even considering him. Vesely is 22, has been playing pro ball for awhile and is ready to contribute; stick him in at the 3, and you have an ultra long/athletic frontcourt in Vesely/Hickson/Varejao which would be a defensive nightmare for teams, and if Jamison, Irving and Davis can contribute just enough scoring, that could be a playoff contender IMO.

The Cavs are still going to be terrible next year, why not wait for the deeper class with better sf prospects in 2012?
