M-DYMESParticipantWow talk about forcing the deal. They are giving up Smoove for wayyy to little IMO. PG is not nearly as pressing of a need there as they apparently make it out to be. Teague was coming on and Hinrich was a more than capable PG. They give up Kirk in the deal on top of that, this is just poor decision making IMO. Better hope Orton becomes a decent NBA big man.

4hff4f427ParticipantIf Atlanta’s goal of this trade is to move Horford to PF and have Orton be their starting center(yeah right) than I guess I could understand it. Aside from that, I don’t really get it.

B FreeParticipantIt only makes sense if they plan on Orton being thier starting C, plus Smith could leave for nothing next year so at least they get something.

romeeezybabyParticipantIf the Hawks agree to that, Lakers should offer Lamar for them both. I’m just saying….

AllDayyyParticipantWhy do the Hawks hate Teague? I’m always impressed when he actually gets on the court. I guess he is just an energy guy and can’t run a team, at least in their opinion.

B FreeParticipantIs this enough to keep Dwight in Orlando and make them real contenders? I know they are AAU teammates and good friends but I think they still need a PG to contend

Chilbert arenasParticipantIt’d be a three team trade in which Brendan Haywood and Beaubois go to hawks as well and Dallas gets Marvin Williams.

Michael.S.ParticipantWho would the Mavs supposedly be getting? I think Beaubois is going to be an awesome player and if they give him up they better get somebody substantial.

FDAPOIm more confused why Mavs would trade Roddy AND Haywood for Marvin Williams. I wouldn’t trade either one of those guys straight up for Marvin, especially seeing as they just won the championship with them.

Michael.S.ParticipantAnd stop with the Josh Smith is worth way more than that crap… He is very good when he decides he wants to wake up and play and that isn’t very often, he never has come even close to reaching his potential and I don’t think he ever will. Ryan Anderson isn’t some scrub , he is a straight baller, and Nelson is also, that guy is a competitor who shows up in the playoffs.

aamir543ParticipantI read that article about that guy who made up Jonathan page. Anyone can say anything. I want to see it on espn.com.
If this does go down, I am convinced that some people are just not fit to run an NBA organization.

romeeezybabyParticipantDavid Kahn takes the crown for that, especially when he’s asking the Lakers for Andrew Bynum for the #2 draft pick. SMH!!

aamir543Participant@JamminLemon, on the guy’s twitter account, the link, it says that the word on the street is that if this does indeed go down, then they would not resign Butler. Personally, I think Marvin Williams is a nice 6th or 7th man on a contender, good role player, gets you 10 a game, but I would take Caron over him every day of the week. Maybe they are looking to get younger.
