So I was just watching Around the Horn and Woody Paige said that the Cavs should trade the 4th pick to Denver for Felton and the 22nd pick…Sounds good to me but I think the Nuggets would want a bit more…thoughts?

So let me get this straight: Cleveland already has Baron Davis, Ramon Sessions, and (possibly) Kyrie Irving. And now their offered a FOURTH POINT GAURD!?!? Facepalm.

If they take Irving with the #1, there’s no point of this trade.

Yeah. I don’t know why they said they were going to select Irving. This way they could drafted Williams and got Felton who is atleast proven. Then they had the 22nd pick to use on another need.

Would Cleveland do such a thing? That is an awful trade. Man, those guys should stick to talking loud and trying (plus usually failing) to be succinct about a variety of sports topics that have already been pounded into the ground through articles, on other ESPN shows and on Sports Center. Why would the Nuggets want more for Felton? Lawson is the money PG, and they give Cleveland an average PG who has won diddly in the NBA. Raymond had a nice year, but how is he that much different from Baron Davis? Also, is he than suggesting the Cavs take Derrick Williams, because it looks like Kyrie Irving is the choice. Woody is funny, but he is a writer in DENVER. No wonder he wants that trade to go down, he is not getting much more for Raymond Felton.

Felton was close to being an All Star last year.  He is a pretty good passer, 3 point shooter, and he can rack up steals.  I think with a stronger point guard class coming in, this would not be a terrible move for Cavs.  They could get 3 solid players in this draft.  Wiliams who should come in ready, Felton, they could grab a bit man like Tyler, UCS guy or take a shooting guard like Honeycutt.   I can understand why people would hesistate because Felton is in the last year of his deal and would probably try to make more tham what he signed for with the Knicks.  Felton’s contract is not that bad though.  Cleveland will probably win less than 35 games the coming year and would have a better chance at getting a point guard with a higher ceiling in next year’s draft.  Irving is being hyped up because there is not really anyone else competing except Knight and Walker.

Felton is not nearly good enough to warrant the cavs moving down 18 spots. I’m not sure he is even an upgrade over B Diddy. Also there is no point guard in next years class projected to be better than Irving. Next years draft projects to be loaded with wing players and forwards which is why they should pass on williams at #1.

Everyone relax…if anyone watches the show Around The Horn on a regular basis they’d know WOODY PAIGE is a Colorado journalist…and this trade favors the Nuggets…plus Woody is a crazy dude who looks like he definitely experimented with LSD and other halucinegenics in the sixties…LOL…so lets take what he says with a grain of salt.

The only trade i see Cleveland making in the near future is to get rid of Antawn Jaminson or to move up and snag Irving and Derrick Williams
