omphalosParticipantHahaha that grin on his face after the photo is priceless; he knows how pathetic that was, good that he doesn’t take himself so seriously that he can’t laugh about it.

TallmanNYCParticipantHe was trying to bring the heat and forgot to let go of the ball. It happens sometimes. That is why folks who have done these ceremonial tosses often go for the lob pitch. Much more margin for error.

WizardofOzParticipantHa, I guess he would fit right in with the Nats lol.

LazarusMunozParticipanti dont think it was that bad(his form, though the pitch sucked)….throwing off a mound when you havent thrown a baseball in ages is alot tougher then u think

DanEboyParticipantIt takes the skill of a 3 year old to throw a baseball. For an athlete, that was awful. That was awful for anyone really.

aamir543ParticipantBlake Griffin would have dunked that.

Scottoant93ParticipantI like his sloutch swinging arms reaction when he sees he messes up the throw, kind of trying to play it off haha. its alright though that would have been a great bounce pass to a future revelant wizards teammate haha

PrecociousNeophyteParticipantHe could have practiced for a couple minutes before he went out there.

bigdaddybluesmanParticipantI could throw a football about 50+ yards easily when I was young, but when I was in the army I could not throw a grenade too far. I never played baseball and did not really know how to throw one. Just because you can do some thing does not mean you can do others things. He had terrible technique and tried to overthrow the ball probably because he knew he could not throw a baseball.

DanEboyParticipantWhat are you guys talking about? Throwing a baseball is like throwing a rock. It’s not like he was trying to throw a curveball or a split finger. A football is oblong, so yes, I could see screwing that up. But a round ball….c’mon.
You can’t honestly defend him on this…..even he would admit that was awful.

j1232eParticipantIf you are a professionl athlete. Especially a point gaurd and you can’t throw a baseball, that is pretty pathetic.
