Reggie Jackson has a promise from a new team?

I’m as high on Reggie Jackson as anyone, but Maynor has been doing a great job for the Thunder. Why are they looking to trade him?

 I’m a huge fan of Maynor, I’d rather they traded Westbrook than him.

But really Reggie Jackson seems like a poor mans Westbrook clone

 their backcourt is great with westbrook, harden, and maynor so i dont think they need reggie jackson. they could use more depth at small forward and center but they should probably fill those needs through free agency since their team is young enough

This probably mean James Harden is a starter now, Thunder are going to need scoring off the bench…Reggie will fill Hardens void .Maynor still keeps his job as back up PG.

this makes me think even more rw is getting traded and maynor is gonna be the starting pg of the future

Jackson + OKC = PG Log Jam!

Jackson’s not ready to play much anyway. He wouldn’t much of Westbrook or Maynor’s time. He also will be able to play SG, and although eh won’t take Sefolosha or Harden’s time in the immediate future, it’s not out of the question for him to factor in for minutes in the future at the SG spot as a spark off the bench. The time is ticking for Sefolosha to be starting over Harden as is probably anyway.

Exactly, lets not forget this is player fresh out of college that will be selected with a late 1st rounder. Maynor will not start over Westbrook, and Jackson may not even be capable of playing in the league yet. OKC loves to stash talent and look for potential. They have a couple bigs stashed and guys like DJ White, maybe they are moving on to gaurds.

Rumor has it that Jackson have been among the 16 players invited to the draft,so the rumor might be true…But i’m not sure what team gave him that promise..

I heard earlier in the workout process the Celtics promised him, but OKC has the pick 1 spot before the Celtics though I believe.

Kind of quick to get rid of Westbrook, although I think Jackson is a more natural PG than Russell is. The most impressive thing I think I saw from Jackson at BC is that he looks like he can run a Offense well. Underrated court vision. Don’t know if OKC is ready to part with Russell already.

Even though they have Perkins they still need some low post scoring…

 I saw earlier he received a promise from Charlotte. They were even talking about taking him with their lottery pick. If this is the case they have 2 picks prior to both Boston and OKC so I could see being taken prior. IMO, if he’s one of the guys in the green room, I’d expect that a team like Char has decided he’s worthy of the lottery pick. Houston is also a possibility I think though I wouldn’t be surprised if they elected to go with Vucevic instead. If in fact Reggie does fall to OKC and they take him, I wouldn’t be against it as he could potentially develop into a Russell Westbrook type and would allow OKC to eventually trade Russy. Perhaps in a Howard package.

Last year Elliot Williams was rumored to have a 1st Round "Promise", but to who is the question? Since when have information like this become leaked for everyone, I thought that part was confidential when it comes to knowing which team will select the person who has the "Promise".
