I do not understand the Valanciunas in the top 5 lovefest. He is still a raw bigman who will not help a team for a couple of years. Most teams in the lotto need immediate help. Kanter is a better choice for this season and worst case is that Valanciunas becomes slightly better at some point. Also with Irving at 1 and Valanciunas at 4 they get no help for their weakest positions the Sg and SF. They would severly lack scoring on that team. Toronto would love Kanter at 5 I believe. Charlotte is a good defensive team, they need scoring in the worst way. I would rather see them take Burks, Marcus Morris or Jordan Hamilton. Burks can’t shoot so I do not think he fits with Milwaukee.

Those are my opinions but that is why it is your mock draft. lol.

This is actually the second best one I’ve seen so far behind Jnixon Iggy. But Aran tweeted that Reggie Jackson has a promise from the Thunder. And I don’t think Jimmy Butler or Nikola Mirotic or Marshon Brooks will fall that far. Other than that it’s really good.

I think Valanciunas is a energy big who can be good in years two and three. This is a rest year for him to get him the NBA training and such. I think he could be a very good post player with developing.

Cleveland can go in 2012 for SG and SF

Charlotte needs bodies. I gave them Selby at 19 so I could see him providing a scoring punch.

Burks doesn’t fit now, but he would be coming off the bench as the slasher/passer. I think he can develop that jumpshot to become a solid player in the next couple seasons.

Thanks RIP. I had Brooks at OKC spot, but moved him with the hope Boston takes him. I might change it back.

I don’t think Mirotic will fall that far and I don’t have the link but I read on Realgm that the Spurs liked Lighty at 29.

I think Lighty, Singler and Nolan Smith are tough guys to project because they can all go first round, and they can all slide. I would be sorta shocked if the Spurs took Lighty, I think they need a young project big to groom under Duncan. I think Splitter and Blair are bench guys.

I agree, if I was the Spurs I would not take Lighty either.  If you want to get your mock as correct a possible you could take that into consideration though. When I do my mock I most likely won’t put Lighty at 29 but we will see what happens.

My thing with Burks to Milwaukee is that I think they think they are a legit playoff team when healthy. I think they want somone that can score right away. I have them taking Marcus Morris.

The thing with jonas is that they already have erden and varejao as energy bigs and hickson is an energy big. I think they need some skill players right now. The SG and SF position can be filled next year but i would fill atleast 1 this year if I could.

Like I said it is all opinion and that is mine. Im not hating or anything, its just how I look at it.

I actually like this. I think the Singleton pick for the Bobcats would be a good pick up even if it is a stretch. Agree with the Irving/Jonas combo if anything they can let Jonas stay in Europe for another season to get another high draft pick in 2012. I wouldn’t be surprised though if the Raps get Vesely instead of Kanter.

Bump and thank guys for the comments, I’ll try to answer them.

    – Mack isn’t a 1st rounder and Johnson is a bubble guy.

    – I think the Bucks a tough team because I can see Morris there

    – Jones is a solid backup, Brooks is a flash scorer for them.

@RIP TRACTOR, out of curiosity, what was your user name, before Robert Traylor passed away?
