cbeckermanParticipantno one likes my ideas anyways so here goes
beno and casspi for devin harris and swapping first picks with the jazz
lineup would be like this and I think it would work
beno, bell, jimmer and kemba
beno – traditional point guard
bell- d minded shooting guard
this would allow time for kemba to develop and jimmer is a combo guard so I think this would work as a solid rotation
youd have casspi, hayward, and evans a solid rotation at the 3
and utahs frontcourt is solid
trading picks down would give a little financial relief and this wouldnt look as crazy then
kings would appear they stole this deal but memphis looked like it got robbed on the pau deal

ghrghrParticipantI think he meant the 3rd pick….?
Not the worst trade I’ve seen here in terms of value traded, but Utah still loses a lot. Casspi has regressed this last season(just a sophomore slump?) and Udrih played the best ball of his career and was still worse than Harris(who won’t be a good fit with Tyreke) who played below his potential. Trading the 3rd for the 7th is also a big loss, because suposedly there is a top 4 that are ahead of the others in the draft. If it’s the 12th,then Utah can do it if they decide they don’t want harris anymore.
If it happened, I think that Utah wouldn’t pull off a Kahn with Kemba and Jimmer. Who do you have being drafted by Sacramento?
And being a Memphis fan, we got robbed on that trade big time. We hit a home run with Marc Gasol on the draft and that’s why people are starting to say we weren’t robbed.

cbeckermanParticipantwhat you gained in that trade because its not all on paper. a lot of economics got freed up which vastly helped memphis and the same thing would be happening here with utah. no need for resigning ak-47 or miles. you cant look at this one as drafting two pgs either because I doubt jimmer will ever be anything besides a combo guard but a darn good one. some would question wether you wont eventually get the same value out of jimmer or kemba that you would with knight. either pick would work for me being honest casspis numbers fell this year because he has publicly expressed he doesnt want to be in sac town, I think his play might have reflected that.I was never a fan of harris because he is frequently injured. I would like to see kanter replace dalembert, another way this trade could help save the teams money.

cbeckermanParticipant3rd and 7th is also 1.1 mil. so thats why I said trade the picks this is a week draft and I would be surprised if kemba or jimmer doesnt eventually get the same kind of numbers as knight.

cbeckermanParticipantutah has also had salary cap issues recently and who knows what will happen after the negotiations are done.

PulseGlazerParticipantDevin Harris on Sacramento would be absolutely a terrible fit. Not the worst idea in the world on paper, but on court, a disaster for the development of those Sac most wants to develop.

kobyzParticipantnot Beno and not Casspi has a positive value!
