We are all aware of the NFL lockout with the 11 Draft class, but I have 1 question. Rookies are allowed to have endorsement deals, but once they are assigned numbers will their jerseys be put on sale for purchase throughout the lockout?

When they can not sign contracts? So, in other words, no.

They will not sell any licensed (key word) merchandise of new players during a lockout. So, unless you get a bootleg, not happening.

In the NFL teams have assigned numbers to rookies already.

Seen 0 evidence of this. If you can show me some as of June 11, 2011, than I would gladly eat my words. But, I just looked it up and found only info that they have not assigned jerseys yet, as there is a lockout where the rookies have been unable to sign contracts.

Still have a feeling they need to sign before they can wear these jerseys while they are getting paid, hence them being sold. They also get jerseys at the draft, those do not get sold. NFL is full of rookies who holdout rather than signing on the dotted line, so, it is still a no go. See 0 evidence of any of them being sold at the very least, and that usually happens after a contract with the team is signed. So, I may have been wrong about them being assigned, though I have seen no documentation on how official they are, and still think no contract no sale. Randy Moss wore #18 as a rookie during training camp as well, than eventually changed his number to 84. So, as long as the NFL is locked out, their is very little official business going on.
