fj84utu389tu5ParticipantAs of right now, most of us are aware that Kyrie Irving appears to be the consensus #1 overall pick by the Cleveland Cavaliers. Which brings me to my question: Considering how difficult it would be to move point man Baron Davis’s contract, can you possibly see Baron Davis moving to the 2-gaurd position and having both of them start at the same time?(note: in 2007, Utah did something similar when they started Derek Fisher and Deron Williams; a backcourt that eventually helped lead them to the Western Conference Finals that year). Think it’s possible?

rileymcshea3ParticipantNo because i can tell you right now that Baron Davis isnt going to play that much games for the Clippers he is just going to back to the way he was last year because he has no reason to play for the Cavs but for the Clips he had a reason and that reason was Blake Griffin .And Deron Williams basically has a Dwayne Wade type of body (Wade is only a inch taller and 10 pounds heavyer) and athleticism ( John Wall said he was the strogest pg he ever faced) which allowed him to play sg.
EDIT: but i guess the cavs could try it because they have nothing to lose

fj84utu389tu5ParticipantJazz_Italy, the reason I tend to maybe agree with you is because of two words: 11 GAMES!! At least we saw John Wall play a whole season at Kentucky last year, and this year we saw Derrick Williams play two at Arizona. I have a feeling Williams might be the better choice at #1(since you said "we’ll" Im assuminig your a Cavs fan right? Couldnt help but notice.)

omphalosParticipantYeah I don’t like people calling Irving the consensus #1 pick when there really isn’t one this season, especially with the unique situation Cleveland is in that they have depth at PG and two of the top four players are in fact PGs.
I think it could work in spurts, and they might be forced to because of their lack at depth at SG, but definitely not for the majority of the time.
