torontoraptors10ParticipantAs a Raptor fan, I’d rather keep DeMar than get the 2nd overall pick.
They would have to include Andrea Bargnani or Jose Calderon as the article said. Jose mentoring Rubio would be a perfect combination and some days Rubio can start and some days Calderon can start.

boshjonesfordParticipantya i agree absolutly….Demar would probobly be the number one pick in this years draft (ofcorse im bias)

thparadoxParticipantI like Derozan. He seems to be an efficient scorer.
But his ability to play on the defensive end is a huge question mark.
There is no way he would be the no1 pick in this years draft. Derrick Williams and Kyrie Irving have more upside than him right now.
Any trade that gets young talent for Bargnani would be welcome.
If I was Colangelo, I’d be calling Kahn 5 times a day regarding Beasley, Randolph, and picks.

Tha_PrinceParticipantThis could be interesting……
Again like stated above, but I wouldn’t be heartbroken seeing Bargs head over to Minny. Derrick Williams to the Raps would be good for both parties, with the MPG he’d get in TO he’d be a strong possibility for rookie of the year.
Jonny Flynn to TO would be nice but I feel like him & Bayless are very similar young players. I’d much more prefer one of those two starting but having a veteran back-up instead of two young points.
If DeMar gets shipped off it will be a sad day in Raptorland

boshjonesfordParticipantplayers always seem good before the draft like they have alot of potential… i think derozan would be number one pick (of course theres no way of proving it)…but last year i remember thinking how good even turner would be but now i dont think i would trade him for derozan,,,,Irving and knight are wildcards sure they can be better then derozan but u already derozan is a guy who can put of 17+ ppg on a nba team (and hes still young) (2 years older then the top two prospects)..

mds0549Participantas a wolves fan I would love that deal. They could get the SG that they need and maybe still make a trade for another vet by getting rid of Flynn, the 5th and/or 20th or some combination – maybe Gorat and a pick for next year

GlenTaylorSucksParticipantI like the idea of DeRozan to the Wolves- I think Kahn should have taken him instead of Flynn a few years back. But, What good would Bargnani be to the Wolves? The last thing they need is a big who can’t play D and is tissue-soft. Bargnani would be a terrible complement to Love. I would hope that if this deal went through that the Wolves would deal Bargnani to someone else.

Toronto16ParticipantIf the Raptors trade DeRozan I’m renouncing my rights as a Raptor fan.

sheltwon3ParticipantRaps are not giving up DeRozan. The only guy that is talented but expendable for them is Bargnani. Minny does not really need him. Also Minny has Luke Ridnour who is possibly better or too similiar to Jose Caulderon for them to trade for that contract.

kngojcParticipantThere is no chance Derozan is going anywhere. He will be staying in Toronto for the forseeable future. However the trade of the 5th pick, Bargs, Barbosa for 2nd pick, Flynn would be real nice. Barbosa is a player that can score and help Johnson out in the long run, Bargs would be a great 6th man, because I wouldn’t want a front court of Love and Bargs.. No defense would be played.. But I think that with that 5th pick they could draft Jonas and see how well he develops. With the 20th pick I would then go after Josh Selby to give more depth to the PG position. This trade would obviously be more beneficial to the Raptors though because it gives them more talent and fills more holes for them. I still like this trade though and wouldn’t mind it going through.

bksmithParticipantWhy would the Timberwolves trade the #2 pick and flynn and get back two of the ugliest contracts in the NBA? Am I missing somehting here?
I know that Calderon would be great for Rubio but adding Bargnani as well is crazy. Minny already got rid of their bad contract when they traded away Jefferson. Why add more?

Snubs15ParticipantIf Demar gets traded then Wes Johnson is leaving minnesota as well. If I were minny i would not do the trade for bargnani and calderon, definitely not worth it. I just cant see a team with calderon, bargnani, love, beasly … locking anyone down on defense and winning games. Minny needs better defensive players, not worse ones. Kahn would be dumb to do a trade like that.
