Mark Jackson = New Golden State Warriors HC

Good for him.

And good for us that we won’t have to listen to his awful commentary anymore.

Congrats to Jackson, we can finally see what he can do as a coach since he got snubbed by New York a few years back. I’m just happy I don’t have to listen to him broadcasting games anymore.  Thank you Jerry West!!!!

 Although he doesnt have much bench experience, being a former point guard should assist him in his learning curve. I think he will do well in getting Curry to the next level at the point.

 Terrible hire. I don’t think he’s anywhere near prepared to lead a team. But at least now we don’t have to hear him calling games.

I am a Warriors fan, and I really dont have a strong opinion on this. He was great PG, and I hope he passes on what he knows about the game to Curry and Ellis. I am jsut happy we didn’t get McHale, no offense Tol23.

There is going to need to be a ton of effort and patience on the part of that staff to try to get that group to defend.

You see that works both ways…you can say it now and when he is let go in 2 seasons

 damn why is everyone hating on jackson.  His commentary isnt that bad.  I actually think he and van gundy are some of the better commentators.  As far as the coaching he doesnt have the players in my opinion but i think he will be a good coach.  

I recon this hire is going to push further speculations abou the Ellis – Iguodala trade (+extra pieces), do you still thing Warriors still will get Motiejunas at their No 11 or someone else?

He has zero coaching experience.

I think the players will relate to him. He’ll be a great motivator. He’ll work the players hard and hold them accountable. They’ll respect him. He’s played for great coaches, played in big games… Been a big part of those teams. The point guard is basically the coach on the floor and he was a very good point guard. He’s been picking Van Gundy’s brain for awhile. I mean, he should be OK.

The fact that he has zero coaching experience scares me though lol. They’ll need to hire an amazing staff to help him. Similar to Del Negro in Chicago. His staff was stacked.

Yeah this move reminds me of Vinny Del Negro to Chicago. Except he won’t have Derrick Rose.

And I think he’s a cool commentator. Him and Van Gundy bring humor that most people who enjoy laughing love, and he also shows a solid basketball IQ.

The last 2 posters are on point. Name one coach with no coaching experience to have been successful? To my knowledge none. This was a bad hire. Mark Jackson is a good guy and all, but if he wanted to start a coaching career he needed to and should of worked his way up.
