Seriously why doesnt this guy get any minutes…..?

I know he is a pretty bad offensive player….But someone with his length and athletcism could make a huge impact defensively especially against Wade who is having his way out there…..

It’s worth a try. Kidd was getting abused by Wade; however, I think that Wade would just overpower Brewer.

As someone who has watched Brewer since he was a Florida I can tell you that in tyhe NBA finals you have to have every player on the same page 100% of the time as compared to regular season where there is more room for error.   Brewer is still new to the Mav’s and has never in his life had the expectations placed on him that would be needed to be to help the Mavs in this series.   If Brewer was still with the Wolves playing against the Clippers he would get some playing time….  this is different and he might as well watch and learn as he might be able to help down the road.

No reason Brian cardinal and peja get more minutes than brewer. He could definitely help on wade and on lebron some when marions on the bench.

Brewer could provide a great spark for the Mavs, but it’s hard for a coach to have that much confidence in Brewer to put him out there in a big game.

As a Wolves fan I’ve seen a lot of Corey Bricker and he can rack up the bricks and turnovers very quickly and makes some bad decisions at times but he’s also a great spark who is very long and athletic can play tough defense, rebound, dunk, get steals, and he plays his ass off even when he played for the Wolves he gave everything he had so I got respect for Brewer. I would have given him some time in the 1st half. Hopefully he’ll get some pt next game.

I think at this point it’s a little bit harder to just throw him out there. While I agree with the premise, I think for the most part Kidd is playing really smart and overall solid defense on Wade. He’s not going for Wades pump fake, problem is he is going against Wade.  With that said, I’m not sure the problem is so much defense as it is that they need to stop making careless turnovers and need someone to step up and hit shots other than Dirk. Even then consider that this team is playing without Haywood tonight and without Barea who went on vacation after the OKC series. Speaking of Barea, I think that Beaubois would have probably gotten some time if Carlisle wasn’t so afraid of messing up the chemistry.  Injuries haven’t been too kind to the Mavs this year. Butler and Roddy B could have added even more depth and probably helped with some of that scoring load.

Double post, but I would like to say that I want to see guys stop flopping and for refs to stop calling flops. They need to start doing reviews on flops after games. If a guy is just blatantly flopping to get calls then he’s out the next game. The game has to get cleaned up because a lot of these players have figured out exactly how to get any call they want when they miss just by contorting their body.  Russell Westbrook does one better and just launches himself into a group of guys in the lane when he’s needs some easy buckets.
