I have a couple NBA Draft trade ideas that won’t happen, but I thought about them. Tell me what you think.

    1. Toronto and Los Angeles

    • Toronto gets: Lamar Odom, Derek Character a 2012 1st round pick
    • Los Angeles gets: 5th pick and Sonny Weems

    – The Raptors decide to move out the pick, grab another for next season and add Lamar Odom. It gives Toronto another big man, this one however, can rebound and provide a flanker for Bargnani. The Lakers make a little big move here, but it also helps them get some youth into that rotation. With the 5th pick, the Lakers can add a point guard like Kemba Walker, or even a combo forward like Chris Singleton or Marcus Morris.

    2. Philadelphia-Chicago

    • Chicago gets: Andre Iguodala and the 17th pick
    • Philadelphia gets: Loul Deng, 28th pick and 30th pick

    – Call me crazy, but I think this needs to happen. If your Chicago, the shooting guard position needs to be upgraded. The only reason to keep Deng is he’s probably the best defensive option against LeBron in the league, but Iguodala isn’t a slouch either. Philadelphia kills two birds. They get a cheaper contract, and allow Evan Turner to properly develop.

    3. New York-New Jersey

    • New York gets: 27th and 35th pick
    • New Jersey gets: 17th pick and Bill Walker

-The Knicks move back and are capable to grab both needs, a point guard of the future and a rotational big man who can provide at both positions. The Nets move up and add a cheap piece in Bill Walker.

    4. Minnesota and Washington

    • Minnesota gets: JaVale McGee, 6th pick, Nick Young and 2012 1st round pick
    • Washington gets: Kevin Love and 20th pick

Like I said before, these deals won’t happen. Minnesota gets a center, the 6th pick, a score first shooting guard and a 2012 1st round pick to lay on. Washington gets Kevin Love, to go with John Wall and Jordan Crawford next season, plus 2 1st round picks in the mid 1st in 2011.

    5. Indiana, Charlotte, Los Angeles Clippers

    • Clippers get: James Posey, Dhanty Jones, Desgana Diop and Indy’s 2012 1st round pick
    • Indiana get: 9th pick, 19th pick, Chris Kaman, Ryan Gomes and Gerald Henderson
    • Charlotte get: Danny Granger

    – The Clippers play the role of I’ll take the contracts, but I want a pick for it. The Clippers take some bad contracts and get another draft pick in the "loaded" draft. The Pacers add a shooting guard, moved Danny Granger to allow Paul George to develop even more, add 2 top 20 picks and get a center in Kaman who, when healthy, could be on the better centers in the East. Charlotte gets a borderline franchise player in Granger who could help lead Charlotte back to the playoffs with D.J. Augustin and Stephen Jackson.

What do you like? Again, I know none of these deals won’t happen, just curious to see feedback.

as a raptor fan i dont know if i want that trade — odam is good but does he want to play in a rebuilding toronto team that need more young players (so might as well pick the fifth pick)

The chi/phi trade isn’t bad but the point of Chicago going after a 2 guard is to find someone that can create their own shot to help rose, Iggy just adds more defense which they could always use but don’t necessarily need.

I’ve seen so many of these trade ideas for deng but Chicago really likes him and I just don’t think they’ll let him go

    2. I feel like trading Iggy for Deng would be a wash, yes they need to upgrade thier SG but one,Iggy isn’t a scoring SG and two they would then have to upgrade their SF.

    4. The reason Center is a big need for Minn. is because they need someone talented, long and athletic to pair with Love. Without Love to take the offensive pressure off and double teams McGee is the same inconsistent player he is with Wash. and not worth the trade.

    5. While I also think that Indiana needs to get rid of Granger to let Hibbert and George develope I don’t like them getting Kaman and stunting Hibberts growth. I would also think that the Clippers would want to get Granger more then anyone else in that trade, he would be a great fit with Griffin and Gordon.

    Making good trades is hard.

    1. LA would never do that. They have no reason to break up this team unless something crazy is thrown their way.

    2.  Iggy  vs. Deng is pretty similar. Iggy plays (very slightly) better D, Deng is a better shooter… and that’s what the bulls need on the court right now. Deng is very important as the bulls #2 scorer, Iguodala wouldn’t contribute like that.

    3. who cares

    4. That’s not enough for Kevin Love.

    5. Pacers are trying to build a contender with their current young guys. They’re not blowing up the team like that.

^^^ LA has a lot of reason’s to brake up this team (they lost 4 straight against mavs) thats enough reason as they are aiming for a championship….not saying this trade is the answer but i think they definitly need to make some moves … maybe for a good point guard (if odom can fetch one)

Wolves WILL NOT trade Kevin Love.  Why would the wolves want Nick Young.  He plays no defense and is an ineffecient scorer.  Wolves do have use for McGee and 2012 pick I’ll give you that.

If the Bulls trade Deng for Igoudala to upgrade the SG, then they’ll just have a terrible SF group.

#1- I don’t think its good for either team.

Raps need to keep adding young players, Odom is not old but no spring chicken either. Charicter a PF is the only position the Raps have some depth at and the Lakers pick would be real late in 2012.

For the Lakers Odom is a key piece only small tweaks need to be done to the team . The 5 in this draft won’t produce on odoms level right away.  Also they don’t want weems the chucker.

I saw the first trade and didn’t bother reading the rest. The Laker trade would be valid for a mid to late first round pick. I could see a team LIKE Philadelphia making that trade. Philly specifically would not make that trade because they have too many players at the 3 and 4.
