MJBrownParticipantHere are some options that I haven’t seen yet that might make sense for Charlotte if you’re willing to think out of the box:
Jimmer Freddette — Haven’t seen anyone post Freddette inside the top 10, but in a draft like this, really how much difference is there going to be between 9 and 12, where apparently his stock seems to be starting at. The Bobcats are are a horrible 3 point shooting team. Augustine is improving, but is certainly no star. Jordan loves to create competition within his team and I don’t see why he wouldn’t take a chance on Jimmer a couple picks earlier than he is scheduled to go. Worst case scenario for Jimmer is that he comes off the bench and hits a few 3’s per game while he’s learning to adjust to the athleticsm of the NBA
Klay Thompson or Jordan Hamilton — both playes can shoot the lights out, their stocks are rising, and they both tested well athletically. Again, in a weak draft like this one, after the first few picks, I feel like teams are going to be trying to fill needs, as the talent difference between 10 and 20 really isn’t that substantial.
Chris Singleton — my darkhorse pick. Can defend multiple postions. If he can prove to shoot the ball with some consistency during his workouts, there is no reason that Chris can’t crack the top 10.
