KevinDurantRocksParticipantEarly in the year after a Lakers lost to Dallas Magic Johnson stated that the Lakers needed to be blown up essentially from head to toe. While Mike Brown is the new coach (to my disliking). Anyways if I was to blow up the team but leave Kobe and Fisher, this is what I would do. Remember I don’t think it is realistically possible that the Lakers will blow up the whole team but if they do these are trades that would seem some what realistic.
This is also taking into consideration that Miami looks like there biggest rival.
Dwight Howard and Nelson to Lakers for Odom and Bynum
If Orlando would trade Howard
James Posey and Danny Granger Dhantye Jone for Paul Gasol and Steve Blake
Paul Gasol would give Indiana an Anchor down low with Hansbrough and Hibbert while getting rid of Granger hurts George looks to be up and coming. I believe they would still be in playoffs next year.
Austin Daye, Ben Wallace, Charlie V. for Ron Artest Devin Ebanks and Walton
This trade benefits the motor city as they get rid of Charlie and Ben who though is cheap is getting up there in years. Picking up Artest is worth taking Walton who though is a great team player he is not that good of a player.
Lakers
pg-Nelson, Fisher
sg- Bryant, Jones, Posey
sf- Granger, Austin Daye
Pf-Charlie V. (granger, wallace and daye could scoot over time to time)
C-Dwight Howard, Ben Wallace
This team could go up against Miami, do you guys think so?

Lakers need an upgrade for the PG position (spanish connection with Gasol) + Bargnani and pau upfront would be a killer offence (although the rebounding and defense might dip)
lakers probobly wont do it but the raptors should try to get Bynum + Ebanks if they can

nath09ParticipantWell if Artest gets traded to the Pistons at least you know he has good knowledge of every inch of that stadium, and has no qualms about mingling with fans.
Also if the Lakers were gonna blow up their team surely they would upgrade their geriatric point guard before dealing their athletic 23 year old centre.

rvan14ParticipantThe Orlando trade is garbage. It will take Bynum, Odom and more to get Howard alone. The Detroit trade is even worse. Artest might sell tickets in Detroit to bring on any takers in a boxing match, but will be going there to play basketball. Finally, the Pacers are looking to upgrade their backcourt. Remember they agreed on a trade that brought in OJ Mayo, but the trade wasn’t submitted on time.
