tcox314ParticipantI am a Timberwolves fan and I am dissapointed just about every year in the draft. Kahn seems to be an awful judge of talent but let’s not forget that McHale was just as bad. This line-up could have been very realistic with the lottery picks MN had since 2007. Before I do that, here are a few mistakes McHale made as GM:
1. Trade Ray Allen for Marburry in 1996.
2. Take Wally at #6 over guys like Rip, Marion, Maggette, Artest.
3. In 2003, draft Ndudi Ebi at #26. The next 3 guys off the board: Perkins, Barbosa, and Josh Howard.
4. Not have a lottery pick from 2000-2005 because we gave Joe Smith money under the table.
5. In 2006, Trade Roy away for Foye.
With all that said, here could be the possible starting lineup for the Timberwolves today (starting with the draft in 2007.. It could be different based on possible trades that could have happened.
PG – Steph Curry (took Rubio and Flynn in 2009 at 5 and 6. Curry went 7)
SG – DeMar DeRozan – (in 2009 he went 9 overall)
SF – Wesley Johnson – (solid pick in 2010)
PF – Kevin Love – (In the Mayo trade in 2008. Good trade although I didn’t like it at the time.)
C – Noah – (Decided to take Brewer in 2007 with the 7th pick. Noah went 9)
Now this still wouldn’t be the greatest team because of their youth but would have a solid playoff team in a couple years.

NJHooper95ParticipantMarbury was a really good pg in Minnesota and had he not been such a baby he and Garnett would have retired there. Marbuy, antics aside, was a talented pg who could score in alot of ways, and was even a good passer when he felt like it. When Marbury was on Phoenix the year San Antonio won one of there titles, he average almost 40pts for the series against Tony Parker. He was a talent, just nuts and spoiled.

xavier328ParticipantI had like the Ebi kid with that pick…..he could’ve been a really good defender in the league.

edot4483ParticipantDont forget the worst draft decision in recent years….McCants over Granger in, I think, 2005. McCants aint even in the league nor will he ever be again. Curry was being a Richard and ssaid he didnt want to workout for us. I feel like you cant blame wolves front office for that one but all the other 1’s were horrible decisions.

royk927Participantthe bad knees. might be a blessing. He is a good player though but i think Portland wants him to retire to get off the hook for his contract still though the Wolves have been so bad a picking players. and of who to keep and who they should get rid of.
