Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAs I’m watching Mike and Mike in the Morning, they showed the play where Jason Terry clanked a three point shot, LeBron contested, and Terry was untouched. Jason Terry collapsed to the floor as if he had gone into cardiac arrest. He fell faster than a sack of potatoes.. Not only that, he got up and had the nerve to complain to the ref for not calling a foul!
That is down right pathetic! If Rondo can’t wear his headband upside down, Rasheed can’t swing his fist after a "bad call", Durant can’t say "And 1!" and stare down Haywood after a monsterous dunk, and Kobe can’t yell at the ref when he believes he was fouled but Jason Terry can make a mockery out of the game by completely flopping and making himself look stupid at the same time and isn’t apprehended, it makes a mockery out of the league and the respect for the game rule.
If a player flops and has the nerve to say one word to the ref, they should get an automatic technical foul. They should go as far as, if a player flops, at all, they receive a technical foul.

omphalosParticipantI agree with you somewhat, flopping is out of hand, and I love that Jeff Van Gundy will disagree with the referee if the call is wrong unlike a lot of other commentators. Nothing incenses me more than obvious flopping, except seeing the obvious flop being rewarded.

adumParticipantIt’s always beern here but recently it has been getting out of control.
I think the players get mad and frustrated with refs because of non calls so they try to put it in their own hands.

jricha06ParticipantI dont mean to be off topic, but I feel this needs to be mentioned in this post. People have the NERVE to talk trash about international soccer (not on this site, but on espn) and say all those players "flop". That soccer players should be "disgraced".
What the heck is a charge in the NBA? Do you really think anyone could knock over big baby with all the charges he took?
Apologies for being off topic but it just needs to be said.

Raef LaFrentzParticipantPlayers will do anything, and I mean ANYTHING, to get a competitive advantage in the NBA today. As sad as it is(and unfair), it’s something that isn’t going to stop any time soon.

I know you know that we know, Manu… You are a master of the flop these days.

TyroberParticipantI watched when Terry fell down. It was hilarious. He came down and just jumped sideways to fall down. I am so glad the ref knew was he was trying to pull

the fanParticipantIf it’s not extremely obvious that a guy was hit hard and they fly backwards 5 feet it should be a technical. Floppers piss the hell out of me.
