McDunkinFormer Duke point guard Greg Paulus has been hired by Thad Matta at Ohio State as the team’s new video coordinator, the school announced Thursday.
Last season, Paulus served as an assistant coach at the Naval Academy.
By Streeter Lecka, Getty Images"We are excited to have Greg join our program," Matta said in a statement. "I have known Greg dating back to when I recruited him out of high school. He brings a wealth of knowledge as a young man who has played basketball at the highest level in addition to his year as a full time Division I coach. He is a rising star in the coaching business."
After he used up his four years of basketball eligibility at Duke, Paulus also enrolled as a graduate student at Syracuse and played quarterback for the Orange for one season.
During his time on the basketball court, Paulus led Duke in assists from 2006-08 and played in four NCAA tournaments. He is one of just four freshman in ACC history to lead the league in assists.
His primary responsibility at Ohio State will be to break down video for scouting and analysis for the two-time defending Big Ten champs.
The football team might be looking for some help too by the end of the summer

JNixonParticipantHe was too slow and inconsistent as a shooter to be a pro in basketball, and too short and small to be an NFL QB.

NJHooper95ParticipantHe was seriously overrated in Basketball, its like once you commit to Duke you automatically get selected for the McDonalds Game. I think he was solid as a football player, but overrated as a basketball player.
