Lotto StudParticipantThis last past year Marshall had created more buzz then just about any Fr. PG, with the exceptions of Kyrie Iriving & Brandon Knight. I was really surprised how everyone took a ride on the wagon once he made a little noise when he took the starting spot from Drew. At first it was he’s too slow etc. but now EVERYONE loves him & his potential. Marshall is in a win-win situation as holding down the #1 PG spot for this upcoming 2012 class, with the help of his supporting cast that is returning in Barnes, Henson, Zeller. With it not being that many prospects out there with a team like his, it will it be harder to de-thrown him from that spot, because he will rack up on numbers. You may not agree, but I see Maalik Wayns & Marquis Teague going ahead of him in the draft if all decide to come out. Some may want to make a case for Myck Kabongo going ahead of him also, but I don’t see it.

JNixonParticipantI think he’ll be the #1 PURE PG in the class. Maqruis Teague has more athleticism and intrigue, but Marshall has the best passing skills of any prospect I can think of in recent memory. He will be the best passer of any of the 2012 prospect, if he declares next year.

NYCarolinaParticipantYou must love Malik Wyans man.

Lotto StudParticipantI’m not going to say I love Wayns, because Teague is my fav PG for that 2012 class. I just see it in Wayns to be the best PG from Nova. It will be hard for Wayns to get the buzz Marshall will get because he does not have the team Marshall has.

Chilbert arenasParticipantMarshall has great court vision and a good passer, but his scoring ability is limited at best. His shot is shaky and doesn’t seem to finish well at the rim. But these are things that he can easily improve on.

Lotto StudParticipantWhere does Marshall rank amongst former UNC PGs Felton & Lawson as 1st Round prospects?

montauriush4ParticipantHe is the 3rd best pg after Myck Kabongo and Maqruis Teague

providencefriars1ParticipantI’m really high on this kid, he will be a good NBA player and a good starting point guard. There’s nothing better than a PG who has elite passing skills and court vision. Look at Nash and Rondo. Im not saying he will be anywhere as good as either of them, but im all in on the Kendall Marshall bandwagon.

NJHooper95ParticipantMarshall is a true floor general. He is Jason Kidd (young Kidd) without the speed. He has great court vision, solid handle, he is never really out of control. Very poised player. People always taking about how a player makes people better, well this is true in Marshall case, he makes people better. He is not the most talent pg in 2012 but probably the safest pg to take.

kanyedabestParticipanti have to admit i was a marshall bandwagon jumper…. i thought his lack of foot speed would hinder him but it hasnt… he is the definition of a pure PG

JordanC20ParticipantI am really high on Kabongo…I think he will end up being a top 3 pick.

irish78ParticipantI think he’ll be the leader from day one at Texas because of all the departures and he’ll put up some really big numbers. Cory Joseph left because he knew Myck would take over all the ball handling and PG duties. It’s too bad that COULD have been a great back court….

ghettosermonParticipantHe’s a very solid PG prospect. Probably a lottery pick. I think Andre Miller is a nice comparison for him. I think people forget how great of a passer Miller has been when he’s taken that passing role instead of being a jump shooter. Just his 3rd year in the league in Cleveland he averaged 10.9 apg.

jaysmith1987ParticipantI think this guy plays alot like Mark Jackson. I would select him before all the guys you mentioned his passing is elite level and hes a better scorer than given credit for he just doesnt need to score with the team hes on because there filled with scorers.

canesboy6ParticipantI love Marshalls game but he has a lot of question marks moving forward. He isn’t much of an athlete, or a shooter, and you have to be able to do one or the other at the next level because its hard to create if you cant penetrate and its impossible to penetrate if youre slow and cant shoot.
Dont get me wrong, I love Marshalls game and its amazing the all around impact he has on his team. Off the Charts intangables, great size, and a good offensive arsenal for a frosh that should improve. I just dont see him being anywhere near NBA ready. He has a good frame, needs to improve his conditioning though and get stronger. He would benefit alot if he could guard 2’s in the league. He needs to get NBA range and develop his right hand. I see Marshall as a 4 year guy.

Snubs15ParticipantI think Marshall can average 10 assists nxt year which would be a crazy amount. When was the last time a pg averaged more than 10 apg in college? It would be cool if Marshall could do it.
I have not seen enough of Kabongo to think hed be a top 3 pick. Hes my favourite prospect in that draft so im behind him all the way but top 3 pick in 2012? How good of a player do you think Kabongo becomes?

Lotto StudParticipant"When was the last time a pg averaged more than 10 apg in college?"
Most notable person to move who got close was T.J. Ford in 01-02 with 8.5 apg. Other then that it was Jared Jordan from Marist in 06-07 with 8.8 apg. It can be done by Marshall if he really wants to dedicate his play to strictly getting assist.

Chilbert arenasParticipantHe also has great posture

Pistol Pete. The PelicanParticipantMarcus Williams from UCONN almost averaged 10 assists. I think Teague, Kabongo, and I think Austin Rivers will be included as a pg will be drafted over Marshall, all because of potential. I think a perfect example for Kendall Marshall is Jose Calderon. I think Malik Wayns has talent but, history says Villanova guards really don’t get drafted super high. When Foye came is as a combo his comparison was Dwayne Wade, lowry fell to the 20s, scottie reynolds didn’t get drafted, Allen ray who was listed as a shooting guard at barely 6’2 went 2nd round I think. Even Alvin Williams who had an okay career with the raptors went 2nd round after and okay career at Villanova. I think wayns will go right outside of the lottery which is exactly where he’s listed on this site.
