Lebron reacts to Pippen comment

Lebron just can’t win for anything.

He apologizes for his press conference in free agency and people say it’s fake. He calls the lady reporter who was acting like an idiot, "retarded" and gets criticized. Bumps into his coach, and there is a huge deal made out of it for like 2 straight days. He says he’s not better than Jordan, and he’s a politician. Seriously. Why can’t he just not think he’s better than Michael Jordan like he said?

No matter what he says, he’ll be criticized for it.

In the public’s eyes for the most part, he just cant be right

is a basketball genious and the best person espn has ever had he needs a show again on tv.

 Funny how he was just this time last year a "golden child" in the eyes of the media. Like Allen Iverson, and Kobe Bryant before him, we always turn on our stars. Though I truely believe he’s just trying to do whatever he thinks is the smart answer these days ever since the whole "decision."And let’s get real, that bump was a clear shot at Spoelstra. There was no accident to it.

Alright this is getting out of hand, Even though I hate his personality, Lebron is a great player, and when its all said and done he will be mentioned at the top if not the greatest. I respect him for being humble, and honestly he might not even be a bad guy like me or anyone thinks, it just might be his friends who keep F@@@ing with his head.

This is ridiculous. What could he have possibly said in that interview that would have pleased you. He either could have said what he did, or "I am the greatest player ever," which would have had people like you calling for his head. Has it ever crossed your mind that perhaps Lebron doesn’t think he’s better than Jordan, that while like most superstars ie: Kobe, MJ, he has an ego, he may not not be quite as self-absorbed as people make him out to be?

This what I’ve never understood, Lebron has his bad moments just like everyone else, but he has never seemed like a terrible person to me. I don’t see how you could possibly take anything negative away from that interview. 

 When is someone going to tell these athletes that saying you are "humbled" by a comment made by somebody else is not proper english?

 Well when you speak of yourself in the 3rd person, QUIT on your team and stand in the corner afraid to make plays, and then have an hour long special just to announce your destination of you free agency, you come off as pretty damn sef-absorbed. Give me negatives all you want, but after that crap, I will absolutely never believe a word of  "humilty" that comes out of LBJ’s mouth again.

even if he wins 7 titles people will still say Jordan was better. The main reason for that is that Jordan appealed to more people than LeBron. He was an absolute winner, top level talent, the confident swagger, at times even arrogant, the aura of invincibility, the tough attitude and… charisma. Mike not only appealed to the kids, but also to their fathers, he was the guy everyone wanted to be like, a major male role model, a proven champion, the guy that really made it in life. That full package along with the great charisma is what made Jordan immortal, and a known  legend across the whole world and that’s where LeBron and also Kobe come up short. As good as they were or will be, they will never conquer the world like MJ.

That’s what I don’t really get though. To me, and obviously this is just my opinion, Michael Jordan doesn’t seem like much of a role model at all. The very things that made him a great basketball player seem to have also made him a jerk. 

 MJ is not a person you necessarily want your kids to emulate

MJ had and possibly still has the greatest ego in any major sport. Bigger then Terrell Owens, Roger Clemons, Cristiano Ronaldo, Jeremy Roenick and the list goes on. Im not the biggest Lebron james fan, and he does have a very…unlikeable ego, but he better have an ego. He better have a chip on his shoulder and he better think he is the best basketball player ALIVE. Because if he does not think its true, then there is no way its true.

As much as I dislike the way Lebron James shows a bit of a lack of respect for the game at times, for the most part he is a solid guy, conducts his interveiws respectfully and is a much better rolemodel then Kobe Bryant, Micheal Jordan and other "pack leaders" the NBA has had. Its the things like his overzealous celebrations that he needs to stop with.

ESPN has the worst NBA analysts around. Stephen A. Smith is always talking to you like there is a lawn mower beside him he has to yell over…lay off on the caffiene, Jalen Rose is way to opinionated, Mashburn is solid, and the majority of the analysts are just idiots, especially Bayless.
