Tha King2121ParticipantThis trade is too lopsided the Thunder would never give up Perk and Nick Collison for Dwight Howard. LOL

akhan786ParticipantThe Magic would never do that trade!!
Why would the Magic trade for a bench big man and a center who’s knees might blow out any day!
The Magic would only trade their FRANCHISE player for young talented players and draft picks. The Magic would need to go into rebuilding mode since their WHOLE entire team is predicated on a dominant big man in the middle.
I think Hollinger’s Analysis says it all
OKC: +20
Magic: -20
Though I do like the idea of Howard going to OKC to pair with Durant, I think they’d have to package James Harden and or Westbrook in that deal.
Though Westbrook is a phenomenal player, OKC needs a point guard that can feed the ball to Durant and Dwight. That is simply not Westbrook’s game and I think he might relish in the star role when he has a team all to himself.
Objectively speaking, it’s highly unlikely Howard ends up in OKC. My pick is Chicago or the Lakers because they have the best trade pieces for the Magic.

Kinguy11ParticipantDid you forget to mention the thunder are throwing in their first rounders for the next 20 seasons? Because the Magic will only this trade if they hire Kahn. Even then I don’t think Kahn will do a trade this stupid.
No offensive ment but c’mon, even a hardcore Thunder fan will say this is unrealistic.

Malik-UniversalParticipantWhat you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

DanEboyParticipant+20 for the Thunder….they would finish 75-7 if that trade went through.
This is when negative points are a good thing. If you get -20 for a thread, you should be banned for a month to think about the stupidity you laid upon us.

jdstormParticipantApart from all the reasons why this trade shouldn’t happen, the math doesn’t check out.
Since we are past the june 30 trade deadline and the season is over. Contracts for this year have ended, which means to make a trade you have to use next years cap number for each player.
While these normally remain the same Nick Collision was given a unique contract that takes advantage of some contract rules, so while nick collision is being paid 13 million this year, next year he will only cost the thunder just over 3 million.
With Dwight howard getting a raise, to something closer to 18 million the thunder would not be able to absorb that amount of incoming salary, as it would put them over the cap. When a team is over the cap a teams incoming salary from a trade cant be greater then 25% of the money it is sending to another team.

bksmithParticipantThis trade might be a little more realistic if the Thunder are unwilling to trade Westbrook:

I know it is a lot but to get Dwight it will take a lot. It still really helps the Thinder still.
